September 2023 by Laura G.
My car wouldn't start after my return at the airport. 102 degree weather. After waiting in the lot 3-4 hours; I had the car towed to Northtowne Hyundai (where I bought the car) to be repaired on August 25th. It is now September 20th and they have not even looked at the car; nor given me an update. Although I know they have lots of work; I finally called the Hyundai main office and got a case number and case worker to help. I am 83 years old and have medical appointments to meet. Hopefully the case worker is able to get the repair expedited.

We ordered a Santa Fe Hybrid. It arrived early. Matt is awesome to work with. He took the time to show us how to set it up and how most all the features work, which included a drive to make sure I knew how to use driving features. Love the car and have no complaints. Only filling the tank once a month unless on a road trip hs been a blessing. When gas prices drop, I'll top it off. Nice cushion to have.

We had a fantastic experience here. Ryan, our sales guy, was very nice, knowledgable, and didn't try to over sell us. We ended up purchasing a Hyundai Venue as our second car and we couldn't be happier. Great price, great warranty package, and all of the staff was courteous and easy to work with. We will definitely return when we're ready. Thank you!

The sales process was really smooth and there wasn’t any pressure at all during the process. I got in quickly and everything was explained to me very clearly throughout my experience. Also I got a great price for my trade in. I haven’t had to have any services yet but will report back when that happens.

5 weeks to just look at my vehicle to see what's wrong with it. 5 weeks?? And no loaner car! Called Reed Hyundai and they gave me a much better appointment time. When I picked up my car from Northtowne, the service manager put it on the portable diagnostic and recalibrate the system and it worked! Why could thus have not been done sooner?? So disappointed.

I have used this dealership for repairs and maintenance before for my 2017 Hyundai Elantra, because it is the closest to my home, but it is still 40 minutes away. I brought it in for a few needs, including routine maintenance and a recall on June 20. In doing one of the repairs, they found a cracked part that made the car unsafe to drive. They had to order a few parts. We had a trip coming up on the 25th, but Barry assured me that they would have it fixed in plenty of time. I asked about loaners (remember, I'm 40 minutes from where I live). He said they had several, but they were all booked out due to recall repairs. I found a friend willing to drive over and pick me up. Two days later, and the crucial part did not come in and now wouldn't be there until Monday the 26th. We had to rent a car to get to our commitment out of town, totally expecting that when we returned on the 30th, they would have had plenty of time to fix our car. I realized on the 29th, that I hadn't heard from Northtowne yet. I finally got a voicemail from Barry just before I was going to call them. Still no part. They weren't sure what was going on, but were assured that the part would be coming soon. So now we're home, but we had to turn in the rental, so back to no vehicle. A week later, we get another call. Now Hyundai says the part is out of stock and will be until August, which is “unacceptable”, so they looked at other dealerships' part lists and it looks like some have it in stock. They are now waiting for one of them to respond that they have it. Not hearing back before the weekend, I call and leave a message on Monday (now the 10th of July) to see what's up. Tuesday, Barry calls back. The part is on it's way from another dealership, but there's no way to track it since it's now coming the usual way. (Pretty much every shipper has tracking these days, but whatever). He expects it later that day or the next, so I'm relieved that we should have our car by the weekend. When I don't hear from them by Thursday, I call and leave another message, but get no response. When I STILL haven't heard anything by Monday, July 17th, I call and leave a message, and another, and another. No response. Tuesday the 18th, I leave another message saying I will be having someone drive me over to talk to them since they won't call me back. I make arrangements with my elderly mother to drive me over, and, surprise, surprise, Barry calls me back. He makes no apologies for lack of communication, but says the part came in that morning. He's not sure they'll get to it before Wednesday. They actually did get it done on Tuesday, and we picked it up. We were hoping to get SOME discount on price or free oil changes or something. Nope. No apologies for anything. Just throwing shade on Hyundai Corp for the way they had stuck the dealership owner with rental car bills, telling us about another owner that had it worse (waiting for 9 months). I will NOT be going back to this dealership. I'll drive a little further to find one with better customer service.

Visit Adam at Northtowne! He knows the industry and can help with many brands. He won't pressure you or try to keep you on site! Also the team at Northtowne will not put you on an annoying call list. Instead you can text directly with sales and ask additional questions. The only trouble with Northtowne is that they don't sell every auto brand. Thanks Adam for help with our new car!

My car needed repairs for something that made driving it unsafe, so I had to leave it. They had no loaners available, but it was just going to be a few days, so that was ok. A few days turned into 4 weeks. We had to rent a car to get to a commitment out of town. I get supply chain issues, but ultimately they ended up finding the part at another dealership. My biggest issue is with lack of communication. I almost never got through to an actual person when calling to check on my car. I once left 3 messages in one day and no one called me back. I will be finding another dealership to work with from now on.

Bob waited on me. They got the job done in no time. The place was very busy but they were moving cars in and out quickly.

My ex wife traded in our car here. My name is on the title. Northtowne Hyundai sold the car immediately and did not consult me, meaning they sold the car without a title. This is "floating" a title and is a felony. My phone calls were ignored.

I was advised to use Northtowne so I had my Santa Fe towed to this location. I am upset still and this was months ago. Initially went for a blinking check engine light because while driving hit a small box that fell out of a delivery truck near a weigh station. The small box got wedged into the wheel well doing visible damage to the under carriage liner ripping some bolts out that secured it in place.Northetowne Hyundai override the CPU to reset the check engine, which did satisfy my main concern of the engine howeverThey decided it was cool to leave the liner hanging into my wheel and it just continues to drag into the breaks. I've had to personally use a hand saw to modify the liner myself in order to avoid further damages to the vehicle and the bolts, yeah, they're still missing.Thank you for using a computer to over ride the check engine lights, that, and nothing else.

Just bought a Hyundai Tucson here and the process was wonderful! Matt Kornblum was so amazing to work with and answered every question I had during the process. He made buying my first car so easy and eased my stress with all the details! Would definitely recommend Northtowne Hyundai to a friend!

Somehow a complimentary oil change gets turned into over 300 dollars in service. Receipt reads customer requested items that I didn't. Was told that all these items were required and couldn't remove any. Offered a 10% discount to try and make peace.Overall, normal business practices from a dealership. Go to Hyundai's website, get the factory recommendations and go somewhere else.
