Bought a used van from these people at the end of June. At the beginning of July the van overheated. It was a Monday. They told us to bring the van in on Wednesday. Brought it in and was told it needed a thermostat. We had bought the extended warranty so we paid for the thermostat. Then after that was replaced they said it needed a new engine. What? We just bought the van and had it only two weeks. So the extended warranty people said they would not cover the new engine because they do not cover over heating. So now we fast forward to the end of October. The van is still there. We have to pay for a new engine. The dealership has told us that they are really helping us out because they are paying for half of a rebuilt engine. We are still waiting for our van that we bought back in June. We paid cash for the van and now have to pay almost $4,000 The communication has been terrible. Do yourself a favor and avoid this dealership.

My husband and I have had quite a poor experience with Luther Mazda to say the least. We bought a used minivan from them at the beginning of July (4 months ago...) about two weeks into having the van, the engine randomly overheated. Knowing that this is not a good sign, we immediately stopped driving the vehicle, and made an appointment to get it looked at, thinking all would be ok as we bought the warranty they recommended to us. We brought the van in two days later (we did not drive it at all in those two days) and were told a few days later that our thermostat went out and it would be an easy fix. A few days after that we got a call saying that we need a whole new engine and that our warranty would not be covering it! We asked why and were told that "you drove the van for days after it overheated and should have towed it" which is not what happened, we were also NEVER told when we initially called about the engine overheating to get it towed. Fast forward TWO MORE MONTHS! Our van had been sitting on their lot as we were not willing to pay the crazy amount they wanted for an engine that already had 115,000 miles on it. We are finally just paying for the used engine as no one at Luther is willing to help us with this horrible situation. It has been four months and we still do not have our van back as they keep pushing back the date to pick it up from the service department. We are still baffled as to how our van that they claimed was checked over thoroughly and had many tests run in it before being sold, would randomly have the engine go out on it. It just doesn't add up and no one at Luther is willing to make it right. Do NOT buy from them. I hate leaving negative comments but this just isn't right.

I had a great experience buying a car for my teenage daughter at Luther Mazda of KC, MO. My salesperson, Courtney, was fabulous to work with and let us inspect and drive any car that we wanted to see. She also explained all the features of various models and all the financing options. I would definitely recommend Luther Mazda and Courtney to anyone needing a car!

Easy to work with dealership. Went in prepared knowing which car I wanted (cx30 turbo) to test drive and how much I’d be willing to finance. Salesperson (Courtney) was quick to process all the paperwork and we came to a reasonable/quick agreement on price and trade in value. Appreciated that all the paperwork was put together neatly, which made the dmv visit easier.

Amazing amazing service! We were moving cross-country & of course my check engine light comes on. As a last minute situation, Mike was able to squeeze us in for a same day emergency appointment within 15 minutes. He was welcoming and reasonably accommodated my car needs. I have to also shout out the mechanic who explained throughly what was going on and gave options that worked within my moving budget. We made it to our destination. Thank you again!

The. Best. Dealership. In. KC. Period.Where does it all begin? It starts with the Sales Manager, Tim. Tim is professional, honest, patient, attentive, and truly cares about making the car buying experience as seamless and easy as possible. His attitude and approach carries down to the sales team as well.The salesman that I dealt with throughout this entire process was Isaiah. Isaiah is the epitome of what we all wish we can experience when we purchase a vehicle. This young man was without a doubt the most friendly and genuine salesman that I have ever encountered in ANY industry. 5 star individual. He responded to all of my questions and concerns without any hesitation. Better yet, he kept me up to speed even when I DID NOT ask. When it came time to wrap up the deal, there were no surprises or gimmicks. Transparency at it's finest!I really can't say enough about this amazing experience. If you are in the market for a vehicle, you need to visit Luther Mazda KC. Just do it. Oh...and ask for Isaiah and Tim!!!Cheers!!!

This is the first good experience I have had in buying a car. From the moment I arrived I was well taken care of, I felt comfortable and all the information was clearly explained.Isaiah was the one who took care of me and made my visit very pleasant. He was clear, patient and kind. I recommend anyone to buy their car at this dealership with peace of mind that they are honest and have cars in excellent condition.

I've purchased at least 25 cars in my lifetime and my experience with Luther Mazda was one of the best ( if not THE best ). I live in TN so not being able to visit the dealership was a little different for me. Everyone was quick to respond to concerns. Zach even followed up several weeks later to ensure things were going as expected with the new ( to me ) Honda. Thank you!

Recently I got in touch with Luther Mazda about a certain Manual transmission car they had listed online. Megan C. in the sales department responded back to me lightning fast and told me they still had the car for sale. I drove over 3 hours from Iowa to purchase this car from them and it was 100% worth it!!!From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted and asked if I needed to see anyone. Megan C. was very kind to deal with and knowledgeable about the car I was wanting to buy! I could tell she’s very passionate about the Mazda brand!I couldn’t be more happy with the car I purchased and the experience of it at the dealership! Everyone there was polite and professional!
