The ARC has stolen $5,200.00 worth of personal items from me. Prescription eye glasses, birth certificate, social security card, AA literature and many, many personal items.

This is a place where lives change by the power of The Lord. You'll see everything there... the ups and downs... the darkness and the extreme shimmering light... this place helped chqnge my life and get me honed as a man and I couldn't recommend it more for the man seeking radical life change.

I really don't know much about this place, but I have a son in their homeless/rehab program. He's been everywhere else, but this one seems different from others, at least on the surface. They house and feed them, take them for medical and mental health care, and they require them to work in the thrift store next door. Other programs he's been in left him with way too much free time or required him to find a job on his own and find his own transportation to and from work. He's been on the street for a long time and is not stable enough for that. So far it seems that this approach is having a positive effect. At least in the short term.

There are two shops at this Salvation Army location - the family shop and the As Is shop. I am an avid thrifter, and I was SO happy with my experience at the "As Is" shop at the Salvation Army! The As Is shop sells items that are imperfect or that didn't sell at the family shop location. Clothes are generally 69 cents apiece, and the day I went, you could fill a HUGE bag of clothes for $10. The clothes in the As Is section are not on hangers, and they are not organized by color or size. They have broad categories - men's, women's, children's, and maybe infants? I don't shop for children's clothing, so I pay less attention. Anyway, the clothes are just piled on large tables for you to dig through. If you want organization, this is not your place. I found SO MANY good pieces here - Express, Alfred Dunner, Lands End type brands - in good condition! I was surprised by the quality and variety. There are also household goods, decorations, furniture, and glassware available. I don't shop for those items, so I don't have an opinion on the pricing. As far as the family store goes, the prices were more than I pay for in Northwest Arkansas, but the staff was very nice. I was happy with my trip here, and I plan to come back next time I'm in town.

Meh, didn't find any good deals at this thrift. A sad selection of Christmas decorations, out of style suits and coats and heavily worn clothing. They didn't even have a decent book selection :(

I donate here frequently. The pickup people are outside in the cold all the time, there is no door. Despite that, they are still in good moods and hard working. The store is crazy packed!! There is a huge selection of quality kids/baby clothes, not much furniture but a lot of clothes.

No sales tax every day is always a good thing. Other than that...dishes and glass ware has a nice selection. Beware the appliances. I got some very nice champagne flutes.

I was having a really hard time finding a place that could help my Adult Son. He has been having a lot of issues & was homeless. The Salvation Army met with him and accepted him into their program right then & there. It is by far the best looking & most secure facility we had looked at to that point. We shall see how they do for him & how he participates with the program.
