I lived at this apartment complex for 2 years and was a great tenant. I had no issues until the new management came along. They had “random” things they needed to come into my apartment for as well as one of my neighbors that no one else endured. The apartments were not built correctly and I was walking down the stairs one night and the stair broke out from under me and the office didn’t care whatsoever and all of a sudden wouldn’t let me renew me lease because there was a time when I had a late payment. We then found out that the apartments are FULL OF MOLD and have been for some time. They have been under construction for months and the place is a complete mess. I would think long and hard before moving into these apartments especially if you aren’t Caucasian.

I move into Steeplechase going on 3 months and I LOVE it here. Friendly neighbors and great staff. I’ve put in a couple maintenance request and they have been taken care of within 48 hours which is awesome! Only downside is all the construction going on but other than that 10/10

I lived here for about 10 months.Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Safe neighborhood. Amenities are great (when they are working)Cons: The amentities, specifically the hot tub and pool, are closed often because of the carelessness of some of the parents around their children. The apartment units are not very soundproof (I highly do not recommend living in a unit underneath young children at this apartment complex). Many of the residents also feel the need to stomp up and down the stairs, which you can hear loud and clear if your bedroom is next to the stairs.

Where do I begin . The first 6 months my mother and I lived there , everything was fine . The office Personnel were friendly and helpful and all the amenities were just as they advertised . Then, everyone in the office including maintenance workers quit. I don't know why to this day. But ever since then, everything at this apartment complex has gone downhill . We live there for 3 years . In that time , the second outdoor pool did not work for a year and a half . The outdoor jacuzzi was closed 3/4 of the year . We lived in a building that had an elevator because my mother is elderly. During the second year , it broke down and wasn't fixed for 4 months . My mother uses a walker and there were several disabled residents in our building that were effective. When we brought it to the office's attention, they said we can move to a first floor apartment. I said okay but we are not paying for the move . They said they will not either . I do believe that foresight communities who owns Steeplechase apartments in several others , are at fault. They try to pinch every penny out of every resident and give less and less service . Do not move in here . After we moved out, they tried to charge us for recarpeting the apartment . They re-carpet every apartment that has been occupied for at least one year and do not charge the residents. They felt somehow that all of our complaining deserved retribution . This is my warning to everyone looking for an apartment for short-term or long-term . Find another place because this one is definitely not worth it

I’ve had a good experience living here. Any issue or concern that I’ve had the front office has always been helpful and courteous with resolving, especially the Assistant Property Manager Alysia. She’s the most helpful person that I’ve ever encountered while renting at any property.

Alicia is such a wonderful employee, she really goes above and beyond anything I’ve ever seen from anyone who’s helped me at all of the places I’ve stayed. She’s extremely professional and shows great care in everything she does! Thank you!

Don't even attempt to live here unless you have perfect credit and a ton of money. Also be prepared to loose $240 off the top if you're approved but you're not able to pay over 4k just to get your keys. I applied with a credit score of 668 and had excellent rental history and this still wasn't good enough for them. They approved me but under the condition that I would be paying $300 deposit as well as two months worth of rent. When I wasn't able to get the nearly 4k for the move in, I was told that the $240 I paid just to begin this process was going to be kept because they only refund you if you're denied. Now I only have less than three weeks to find somewhere to live or be on the streets and they're super non chalant about taking the little bit of money that I did have. I'm not even from here, I came from a whole other state and have never had to pay a mortgage just to get an apartment. Run while you still have a chance.

cannot say enough amazing things about Steeplechase! Our family came to live here after leaving an unpleasant apartment complex up the street. Gina gave us a property tour and we instantly felt at home! The staff is a breath of fresh air and so pleasant to work with. I cannot explain just how they make you feel like family when you arrive! The maintenance staff is also so amazing! They have someone on call for emergencies and are so quick to respond! They also hold a lot of community events for residents! Communication from management is very good and the staff truly does care about their residents! The property is very clean and safe and my family and I absolutely love it here!! Great community and this is a wonderful place to live!Kamlynn Pratt :)

Honest review from a long-term tenant. My husband and I lived at Steeplechase for nearly 6 years. We moved in while the complex was still being built and really loved our our first few years there.Apologies for the long review, there’s a lot to cover after so many years. If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful place to live, I highly encourage you to look elsewhere. The walls so thin that you can hear every time your neighbor sneezes. Our apartment overlooked the main pool and the complex’s speaker system plays music at the pool that no one ever bothers to turn off so music is playing 24/7. Drunk adults are at the pool until 12-1am every night, sometimes as late as 3-4am.Originally our apartment came with internet and DirecTV. Management took away DirecTV a year or two ago and they gave us a one time $20 rent credit and sent out links on where to buy TV antennas to replace the complimentary $70/month satellite package they took away. The internet is still free but goes out 2-3 times a week for anywhere from 5 minutes to hours at a time.Various other issues:-Laundry facilities have never consistently worked.-Amenities are hit and miss if they’re open or working. The hot tub closes often for unknown reasons.-Elevators are out of service often at various buildings.-Rent is outrageous. We got in at $875 when they first opened. For the quality of the apartment, I wouldn’t pay what they list it for now.-Parking at C & D buildings (and probably others) is minimal. Be prepared to park a few buildings away unless you want to pay for a carport, garage or “premier” parking. After the paid spots, it leaves a handful of free spots.Positives:-Location is great-The interior of the apartments are nice looking (they’re not “luxury” but instead built with low quality materials that just look nice)-Good sized bathroom, kitchen, good pantry space, granite countertops-Nice landscaping-The maintenance team is wonderful and has been throughout the years despite all the turnover. In the winter they are especially incredible as they have to HAND SHOVEL the entire complex’s sidewalks when it snows.

This was once a destination location until someone somewhere made changes to the management and leasing staff. Prior to the switch, I could call and get someone on the phone and my emails were usually responded to within 24 hours. Now, any emails I send go unanswered. I had to go in person to ask why an email from 3 weeks ago did not receive a response. This has happened with all emails I have sent in the past few months. The staff rarely answers the phone and I work crazy hours where I can't make it in person. The fact that I have no options for communication is truly sad since I pay so much in rent. My advice is to keep prices low if the staff is going to be this way. You pay for what you get and this is D- at best (and that's only because I THINK they have breathing bodies in the office).

3 months in and what a mistake after a week. I’ve seen 9 or ten people move out in the last 2 weeks. People in the office seem nice till you sign your lease. Sauna don’t work pool has candy wrappers and hair everywhere. How can you charge 2200 for 3 bedrooms and have other expenses and make it. Dogs bark all the time and tvs and grills don’t work. Honestly I’d rather sleep out of my van. Greedy corporations own this pit. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Can't believe for the rent they charge that they can't keep any amenities working. I've lived here for over 2 years and the management can't keep anything open or working. For example, the south pool has been closed for over 1 and a 1/2 years when we moved in. The main pool is often close as well as the jacuzzi. Now, they put new card readers for the gates to the pool and a main entrance hasn't worked since they put it in. You have to walk around the pool to get in. Also, the pool hours are from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. but you CAN'T get into the pool area until 9 a.m.! The worst problem was when the elevator was out of service for over a month with several residents with disabilities, like my mother. There solution was to let us out of our lease or move us to a ground floor apartment. People with disablilities should NOT have to go through this. I could go on and on, but what's the use. I haven't moved out because I'm a caretaker for my 88 year old mother and she doesn't want the trouble of packing everything again. Do not move here because their website that makes this place look so good, is a lie!!!

I would consider living at the apartments across the street before Steeplechase. This is a fair honest review from my experience and I’ll tell you why I have this strong opinion:1. Terrible treatment towards POC. I’ve been living here 18 months expecting a smooth experience. It’s a shame I can’t describe every detail as it’s against policy.I invited my family to swim at the pool before summer was over. Expecting a nice family visit turned into a nightmare. Cheryl, someone in the office asks me “do you live here?”. I tell her YES. She says prove it. I say “I have a card what else do you need?” She then says I need you to tell me your address.Mind you, I’ve been to the swimming pool PLENTY of times without my family visiting. I ask her why do you need to know my address. I’ve spoken to multiple people that work in office MULTIPLE TIMES on the phone and in person. She doesn’t say it’s protocol, she doesn’t say its practiced for safety of herself or residents. She SAYS “EITHER YOU GIVE ME YOUR ADDRESS OR I CALL THE POLICE.”At that moment, I froze. Confused and felt completely disrespected. She RECRUITS HER DRUNK entourage to harass and bully me to LEAVE. A place where I pay for these amenities. You know that one rule on the steeplechase website for the swimming pool - alcohol is prohibited. Well, for THEM; Cheryl GLADLY let them drink freely.2. Living conditions is terrible. Dog fece is EVERYWHERE. Step foot in the grass if you dare, you’ll soon regret it by a residents’ dog number 2s.Main pool is filthy. Saliva, trash, hair ties and whatever else you can imagine is in that pool.3. Most of the amenities are purely there as props. The sauna and steam room that the office manager tries to sell in the tour? Doesn’t work and takes hours to even heat up. It’s turned off most of the time, so if you think you’re going to use it make sure no one turns it off.The washers and dryers are always down.Hot tub always closed off, but the offices entourage can use it whenever, even after hours. The secondary pool south of the apartments opened up in AUGUST. That means during the hottest months of the year the pool was closed. The grills don’t work at the south pool either.Dog park? It’s just an empty lot with bad fencing. My small shiba inu broke free while in the “dog park”. There’s large gaps in the fencing leaving room for your precious four leg babies to run free while you’re double locked in the gated, unsafe, unsanitary, rundown mud pie. There’s no grass and always poo.The apartments themselves are okay. The premium apartments are there for looks only. I’ve had multiple leaks in my sinks which damaged goods underneath. The build themselves are lackluster, as the sink bowls have about 1 1/2 centimeters of empty space. Meaning the water ALWAYS leaks to the bottom cabinet. You have to use steeplechases Wi-Fi, which is slow and shuts off frequently..4. Fire alarms triggered at 3 in the MORNING. This was on more than one occasion.5. Filthy peanut corn smell from corn fields.
