I used to go here all the time with my family. It's mostly CYO salad, sandwich, or bowl, so the menu items are kinda basic. But they're expecting you to add and modify the dishes, and they have lots of options, so make sure to do that!

Walking in to order was initially a bit confusing; I'm glad I didn't have my first visit during a rush. Otherwise I absolutely loved my salad and had a great experience. Personally I don't mind paying a bit of a premium for a quality meal. Can't wait to go back and continue learning my way around the menu and ordering process.Shout-out for being very veg*n friendly!

Love this place! Their food is consistently fantastic; from the salads to the street tacos. The staff is so fast and friendly, it makes the busy times tolerable and quick!I love dining in or taking out, both are made convenient with quick turn around times and a super pleasant experience and atmosphere.Dietary restrictions: Fantastic options for veggie and vegan! Great for dairy free and GF, too!

Food is great.Last me so via door dash was not ready on time thus we missed our lunch time at work. My coworker had to skip lunch all together and go to a meeting. Very disappointed!

Just finished a Mediterranean Bowl and Manager asked me to give him feedback. I figure thus might be best way. Mediocre at best. Falafel I added, was dry and appears as if it wasn't fresh. Not edible. Quinoa portion with mushrooms and blue cheese and olives good but too much. I added a bed of fresh spinach for crunchy and fresh. Also added pickled onions. Dish needed something raw and pickled. Roll was hard and dry. Could have had 3x hummus instead of so much quinoa.

Probably top 3 favorite places to eat in KC. So many delicious, healthy options! And they don't compromise flavor for the health aspect. Its an awesome balance. Highly recomend the Garden of Eden Salad or Southwest Salad. Sweet potato fries are a yummy addition. Highly recommend!Wheelchair accessibility: They have easy sidewalk and entrance accessible by wheelchair. Seating is also wheelchair friendly!

Even though it's counter service, the people here are great! And their salads are simply the best!

The restaurant was relatively busy with several Togo orders but my food came within several minutes. I was pleasantly surprised.I ordered the Pretzel Chicken Sando with the soup of the day (Chicken Roja something). The soup was flavorful but not spicy. Not too salty either (there is a salt shaker on all the tables in case you want to add more). The sandwich was a bit too greasy. When I picked it up, my hands were coated in oil.But the sandwich tasted great. The flavor combinations worked well together & I didn’t feel too heavy after I finished it (as you typically do with greasy food). The music here wasn’t too loud, which I appreciated. But it could’ve been a little lower imo.

If you're going to brave dining at The Mixx, please avoid the Quinoa Bowls unless you're really into a pound of flavorless warm grain. It's not so much a meal as an insult. The Asian Shrimp Bowl consisted of six unseasoned shrimp, a few slices of cucumber, and chilled plastic cup of nearly solid peanut butter sold as Chili Peanut Asian Dressing. The Steak Quinoa Bowl consisted of a thin layer of skirt steak and caramelized onions topping yet another farm animal serving of warm flavorless grain. A horse might enjoy this much Quinoa. Great place to grain a pony.

Absolutely loved this place. Great spot to grab a quick healthy lunch to offset all the bbq I ate in Kansas City. Was in town for a conference and ate here every day. Never got old.

This is my favorite salad place so far here in Missouri. They have a really great menu with fresh ingredients. I love the salad options and the fact that you can build your own salad as well! This place is the closest I've gotten to my absolute favorite salad place in Houston called Salata. My favorite go to is the beet salad. I've tried their pumpkin bisque, it was sweet and definitely different, but tasty. The service is always fast and friendly. The restaurant itself is small and quiet. I like that they have seating outside for warmer days. And if you want dessert, there's a yogurt place next door!

This place serves farm raised salmon, and herb chicken that comes in a bag. With the amount it costs for a salad the salmon should be wild caught and the chicken cooked fresh to order. To top it off, it smelled like sewage in the seating area!!!! There are better places around with better ingredients.

Delicious!! We live out of state but come to KC every couple of years for chiefs and/or royals games. We discovered The Mixx in August and since then have been counting down the days until we returned in October. We went there everyday for lunch this visit. The rocket is the best salad I have ever had. Everyone is very friendly and the line moves so efficiently. I am so very sad as we don’t have anymore trips to KC planner for the next long while, but whenever we visit in the future The Mixx will always be on our to-do list!
