"Bud" Gordon owns the "Sports Medicine Store" on Wornall and is married to Toby Tobin's sister so it pays for them to advertise his products on the air. This morning I heard Toby and "Bud" on the radio using sarcastic falsetto voices making fun of the "2 people out of 800" who didn't like his unloader knee brace. There are 3. When my husband and I went in a few weeks ago, the brace didn't really work for me and "Bud" wouldn't listen to anything I said about what I thought would help make it more comfortable. He was dismissive and defensive, told me he hated my shoes and wouldn't answer our questions. But when he told me it was my fault for not pulling my sweat pants leg up high enough and to put on a short skirt and come back in so he could fit the brace higher on my thigh, my husband and I decided it was time to leave. If you're female and want to be treated by an 80 year old man like it was 1950, that's the place for you. Just don't forget to put on a short skirt when you go.

This may be lengthy.. but please read.Last year I was needing some additional ankle support while skiing after an injury. I had tried a few on the market, but if you ski you understand that a brace will not fit in a ski boot. I purchased one of his new braces and decided to try it out. I actually took 2 so I could stress both. So I wanted to give both pros and cons and to also be honest about this review.Pros: It actually did help and I had less pain when recovering. They do work with ski boots, it was rough but did work.Cons: I had to adjust my ski style some as I wear a very flexible boot and it made them feel much stiffer. I had to put a little more effort with my body.I skied an entire day with and an entire day without (March 2023). I will say that my after pain was much lower when I wore the braces. I do recommend if you are an intermediate or lowert skier. If you are a black diamond and/ terrain park, you won't like them even if they work as it does limit the boot flex. Overall, I absolutely recommend. They did everything they said. Under normal exercise and stress..you will see a difference.

Limped into the store with bone on bone pain. 30 minutes and Mr. Bud had me walking and going up and down steps without pain at all. This place should be call the Magical Sports medicine store.Thank you so much Bud .Thus place is no joke. I am doing things that I haven't been able to do in months.Just can't say enough about this unloader brace.

The custom orthotic has substantially reduced my foot pain. They made sure before I left that the orthotics fit my cowboy boots!

I felt pressured into buying a $91 knee brace that is not comfortable and does not work for me. I was not aware that there is no return policy, and now I can't return it even though I only wore it for a short run. Also, the store employee was not wearing a mask in the midst of this pandemic and seemed to be encouraging me to take my mask off.

These orthotics are terrific! I have 1 pair that has withstood over 5 years of wear and still going strong. Just bought another pair because I can’t live without them! They may need a slight adjustment about every 6-12 months, but my feet are finally pain free!!!! Thanks, Sports Medicine Store!

Fantastic foot orthotics!I went to good feet store and after a "test fit" that was off the shelf for 400 to start I left and went here. Great service, product, and price.
