I switched my Propane supplier o Ferrell Gas two winters aga and I am very happy I did. I now talk to a US based customer service representative that I can understand and use their web site with ease to reorder propane for my tank. Very easy to deal with.

EDIT - Original all left for posterity
After contacting Ferrell Gas by phone, they originally told me there was nothing they could do before the 28th of FEB. I utilized social media and Google after that to see if I could get a manager to call me back per my request while on the phone. No manager was on duty according to the representative on the phone. Approximately 2 hours after my calls and posts a bobtail shows up at my house and fills my tank. I'm happy I received the propane I needed to heat my house in a timely fashion, but it shouldn't have taken what it did. Seems like the negative review carried more weight than a pleasant phone call did off the get-go. Raising the starts to 3, but I'm still not satisfied due to having to complain to receive an order I placed in a timely fashion.
I ordered propane in a timely fashion before the next round of cold weather. I ordered on 2/9 and my delivery was set for 2/13. Allegedly the driver said there was not a path to the tank and cancelled our order with an automated call at 7pm. Our exterior cameras prove that no driver attempted delivery in any capacity. My order was reinstated per my request when I called at open of business today, 2/14 but they put me at the back of the list and will not deliver until 2/28. I will not have propane to make it until then. 9.5 years with Ferrellgas and no issues until now. Check their FB page....sounds like they're out of gas and out of cares for the people who rely on their fuel to heat their homes. I'll update if/when they elect to do the right thing, until then it's one star.

We have been with Ferrellgas for several years and here lately has been very frustrating. We have been trying to get a bad tank replaced with new one and another one needs gauge replaced. We have been getting the run around for months. We keep calling and being told we will get call back and something scheduled. It don't happen we have had techs come out to fill bad tanks and not know what's going on. I feel like enough is enough and should not have to try so hard to get there service. I hope they can make it right and we can continue to be customers but if I have to call back because they are not reaching out to us. It will be to cancel there service and use company more reliable. UPDATE to this review they took excellent care of us when we actually got to talk to someone local about our concerns. Thank you Megan for assistance in resolving our issue

I have used Ferrellgas since I moved to the Kearney area and have found them to be very accommodating and prompt on service. I also have a need for Butane in a small 10 lb. bottle that I need for hobby purposes and they can supply that need.

I understand that propane prices fluctuate. What I don't understand is why the "rental" price of the tank they FORCE you to rent from them went up 25% this past year. Is it all of a sudden costing 25% more for this tank to sit in the same exact place it has since originally installed? Is this tank depreciating at a 25% faster rate than last year? Of course not. This is a perfect example of a monopoly (or near monopoly if being generous) doing whatever they feel like when it comes to extracting money from their all-but-captive customer base. It is these types of little "F-yous" that slowly ruin a company's reputation, as can be seen by the many examples on display via other reviews here. The 100% canned response by Ferrellgas to all these recent reviews is the proof in the pudding, along with their horrible customer service system, that make the adage "Profits Over People!" so true. I'll be reaching out to their competitors this year to see if their "F-You" quotient is less than Ferrellgas's.

I wonder why I have to pay a lease fee on my propanre tank after 30 years. $104.54 this year. Surely this tank can't cost over $ 3,000.00 Shame on Ferrellgas.

Here I am at 4 am writng this review because our house is like an iceberg and someone needs to hear it. We have been customers for over 20 years. I don't know what has happened, but they are NOT the same company. From the impossible task of reaching a human being for help on the telephone to the endless wait on the live chat, it is hopeless. We finally tried the office number to our nearby Ferrellgas thinking we would get someone local to help us. Spoiler alert: we didn't. The local number just takes you right back into the messed up phone system for the company. My husband finally got through to a customer rep, and he basically told my husband there is nothing he can do. He wasn't willing to try anything above and beyond to help us. We are now down to 5%. We called almost two weeks ago when we were close to 20%. This is absolutely ridiculous and needs to be fixed. All of these customers complaining, and from what I can tell, nothing has changed. I would say Ferrellgas has lost a valued customer, but I honestly don't think they value their residential customers and have forgotten who helped them build their company.

0 stars called at 25% they decided to cancel our order without saying anything because a side street was icy theyve given me nothing but the run around and excuses I've had pipes freeze and have 2 infant kidsEdit: they've responded on Google b4 they've filled my tank If you think this is a company you trust with your families safety I'd think again this is beyond disappointing and disturbing that they can't fulfill their part of the contract

They do not deliver or respond in a timely manner and their delivery drivers lie about road conditions it's sad that they leave young families stranded and without heat it's honestly pathetic and scary

I swear to God if I hear "we're here to take the 'pain' out of pRoPanE" while on hold with Ferrellgas, I'm going to physically harm myself.Currently over an hour on hold with Ferrellgas because they failed to deliver gas on 1/11 because the "hill" to my house was too "icy". I was given an automated call telling me they had to cancel my delivery and I had to reorder instead of being directly called so I could let them know there's 2 other ways to get to my address without going on any hill. Office was closed by this time to I had to wait the next day to call them. Not only that but I went to work on 1/11 and the roads on the hill was dry both times, so not really sure about that excuse, and I'm a total wimp when it comes to icy conditions.I have a newborn baby and a 15mo at home, and now my pipes to my washing machine are frozen. It feels like I'm being punished for ferrellgas failing to deliver gas. The best response I can get from ferrellgas is that the expected delivery date is now 1/24 but they can put my concerns in their notes for the delivery drivers. If I was supposed to get gas 1/11 but the company failed on their part, why am I still waiting with 13% left in my tank?? Not only that, I got another automated call this morning saying I needed to pay an extra $90 since my tank % is lower than it was when i originally ordered, before they could attempt to deliver. I made that payment before that call and it is still pending, so not sure how much extra I'll have to wait. If you're needing an emergency delivery, don't rely on ferrellgas, they absolutely put the "pain" in propane?♀️

This place is a joke. Worst customer service. We had to wait several days for propane. Fine I get it. Then they finally come. They called before coming so I could put the dogs up. I work remotely. I hear them outside then find a tag on my door checked nobody home could not offer to light pilot. They knew we had no gas in the tank and needed this service. We called this morning promised a callback today never got one. Called again this evening held forever finally got someone who told us we had to pay for them to come back out. Even though they never knocked since I work right by our door on a computer. I couldn't miss it. I mean how did I bring my dogs in if I'm gone? So then the rep this evening hung up on my husband after a 40 minute hold. I will NEVER use or recommend them. They suck plain and simple

Although it took two visits to fx a leak in our propane supply line, we appreciated both servicemen. They helped educate us and assured us it's best to be safe than sorry. Thanks to bith.
