Far West Country Store is a charming LDS bookstore, gift shop, and country bookstore near the Far West Temple Site. It is a cute, fun place with a knowledgeable and friendly staff. The store carries a wide variety of books, gifts, and historical resources, including novels, scriptures, post cards, T-shirts, jewelry, snacks, and freeze-dried fruit. Visitors can also see a statue of Joseph Smith and other historical momentos. The site is peaceful and beautifully kept, with clean restrooms and picnic tables. It serves as a great pitstop, offering maps, route guidance, and even ice cream.

my wife & I stopped at the Gen. Store a few Sat's ago, and Eugene was a great host! he gave of lot's of historical info & directions to Hawns Mill.was a great experience all around there in Far West area!thanks Eugene!

A beautifully kept historic site. Very knowledgeable clerk. Peaceful. Picnic tables and restroom (very clean) on the grounds, tooCaution: The sign with arrow is misleading. We traveled way down a gravel road. You do not leave the blacktop to visit the site.
