The great pumpkin patch this year was amazing. We decided to celebrate my son's 4th birthday here with some friends from his preschool and it could not have gone better. Everyone had so much fun. Dan was beyond helpful and accommodating and made sure my son had the best birthday. We cannot thank you guys enough for this wonderful place and the great memories we got to make.

My son head was recently busted at the pumpkin patch while playing on the seesaw . A parent alerted the staff & nobody came over to assess the situation or check on my child . I had to walk my child up to the cashier’s counter to get any assistance . Blood was everywhere & from the result of the incident my child had to get stitches !! Staff was too worried about money transactions & did not assist in the matter until I made a big fuss & they seen how bad his head was bleeding !! I’m highly upset in the way situation was handled

I was a fan as I have shopped here for many, many years and never had any complaints. I was just there a couple weeks ago and had a positive experience then, but I am appalled by the owner’s response to a review from yesterday. In the review, the Mom detailed her unsatisfactory experience.I was disappointed to note that the owner’s response seemed to place blame on the Mom and appeared defensive in nature. (The Mom should have visited the website beforehand, she should have found an employee and complained in-person and requested a refund rather than leave a negative review online, etc). The Mom felt like the employees were rude to her and she had a bad experience. Even if you don’t think they were rude to her, it makes no sense to argue with her on that. The Mom knows how she felt.Customer feedback, even when negative, should be treated with respect and empathy. It is a chance to show your commitment to improving customer experiences and addressing concerns promptly. No business gets nothing but 5 star reviews, so negative reviews here and there are expected and not going to hurt the Kirkwood Farmers Market reputation. However, your defensive response and placing blame on the customer is extremely unprofessional and does damage your reputation I believe. Your apology doesn’t seem sincere at all.Going forward, you have two choices: 1) You can respond with a negative, defensive tone to this review that is trying to help you by providing constructive criticism, or 2) You make a sincere, genuine apology to the Mom about her experience and for your defensive comments that seemed to place blame on her for her experience and offer to do whatever you can to make things right.I love supporting small businesses and our local community, so I’m really hoping you choose choice #2.

they were rude to us?.UPDATE: i did not miss the response given to my review by this business! this makes me extremely sad. I noted how you had said something about my personal profile & had time to go through my reviews. You stated that I make lots of 1 star reviews & this is a game to me. I take that personally because I come on here ONLY IF a business has bad customer service , food, etc. or if they have extraordinary service/food. If a business isn't 1 star or 5 star in my eyes, i don't bother leaving a review. it's sad that a company like this responds so unprofessionally to comments. I wish you all luck & I will NOT be returning.

I went to the Pumpkin Patch at the Kirkwood Farmers Market today with my mom and my 2 kids, and I was very disappointed. First, it was so crowded that it was difficult to notice that it cost 6 bucks just to get in. My mom was rudely stopped by one of the employees as she was walking in who said we had to buy orange wristbands to get in. Apparently we all had to buy bracelets even though my mom and I are obviously adults and can't do any of the activities. It cost us $24.00 for all of us which is way overpriced. My kids wanted to sift for gems, so I grabbed a gem bag and went over to the ticket stand. I asked how the sifting worked and the girl immediately said that I needed to pay for it first. I already had my credit card out to pay for it, so it was unnecessary for her to be so rude. My kids did the needle in the haystack activity and I brought over the needles to the ticket stand. A man working there rudely instructed me to go over to the other side of the booth. As my son was picking a candy bag prize, he was taking a long time as he is only 5. I was handling the situation and trying to get him to go faster, when one of the ladies working said in a very irritated tone, "They are all the same buddy, I promise." It was one thing for them to be rude to my mom and I, but to be rude to my 5-year-old son was way out of line. We will not be returning.

We went expressly to get some homemade tamales. The place was hopping! Since I've last been, they've added a children's play area.

My go to place for veggies (heirloom tomatoes) in the summer. They also have good farm eggs and frozen chicken too.
