Horrible, horrible customer service had an appointment that got changed without my knowledge and they would not service me. I made the appointment one year ahead of time..very upset and kept asking what I did to cause this. I responded to no less than 7 messages confirming!

I loved everything about this place.The staff was warm and welcoming. When I entered the building and let them know I was the first time visitor, and a new patient. The tech who ran me through the initial test, was very professional, and very kind. She was a dynamo full of energy. Dr. Ron was great! He took his time with me and explained everything I needed to know. I am very pleased with the quality of care here, and the people were amazing!!

I went in for an annual eye exam and I guess that was accomplished. But the other aspects of choosing any company to do business with were lacking. It was mentioned in a few other reviews about the customer service and I would have to say I agree. It can use some attention. I didn't feel welcome, which if you're wooing customers is a must unless you're the only game in town. And Discover is not. The front desk was decent but my technician was terrible. Lots of gestures and body language symbolic of being perturbed. And no pleasantries when she called me back for the exam. Not even a hello, just instructions that, depending on how well were followed or understood, seemed to frustrate her or show her lack of patience. I came to them because they were close and on my insurance provider list but I will not go back. I would recommend you look elsewhere for eye care as well.

Dr. Weixeldorfer and the entire staff were fantastic! Wait time was almost non-existent. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, and all of my questions were answered. Thank you for all you do, and keep up the great work!

I visited this office on 2/23/23. I had a 7:45 am appointment, the first appointment of the day, and I arrived a few minutes early. At 8:05 am, the technician called my name from across the room. She didn't introduce herself, didn't say "good morning " - nothing. After completing her questions and tests, she said the doctor would be with me shortly. She also told me she wasn't dilating my eyes because I would have a contact lens exam.The doctor came in about 5 minutes later, examined my eyes and said my glasses prescription changed slightly. I asked him about not being able to see well with my contacts and he suggested trying a change in my lenses. He brought me a pair of contacts and said to try them for a few days and if they were ok to call and order some. At no time during the exam did I have contact lenses in my eyes, nor did the doctor check to see if these lenses fit or if I could see with them. Imagine my surprise when I got a bill for $75 for a contact lens fit and exam.When I called and inquired about the charge, I was told the doctor doesn't have people leave the office wearing contacts because they have to drive home. Not sure what that has to do with putting in the contacts just to see if they fit and I can see with them. I was also told that the fee is just to give me a new prescription.I've worn contact lenses for over 40 years. Never had an eye doctor who didn't have me put in lenses to check how they fit and how I could see with them...and then charge a full fee for a contact lens exam. Feeling ripped off and definitely not going back.

I made appointment 03/27/2023 at Lee's summit location because I had a red eyes and eyelid irritating. Doctor looked and said its just dry eyes, and told me to keep moisturizing with gel. I asked him why my eyelid is red, he said because of dryness. I came home and started put gel in my eyes, but eyelid on left side continued to be swollen and red. I did my own research and found that I have blephorites. And it requires antibiotic. I ordered special eyelid wash. Very disappointed with the visit. Wasiting of money. Please, if you didn't want to give my prescription, at least give me advice what to do with my problem.

My whole experience from the first phone call was amazing. I’ve been contemplating LASIK for years now and finally decided to call and get more information. I’m so happy that I ended up here. The lady I talked to on the phone got me set up with a consultation the same week! I went in today for it and Nikki was the girl that ran all the tests before the Dr. came in. Her attitude and customer service was stellar! Seriously one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. When Dr. Parsons came he introduced himself as Brent. Super personable and down to earth. Everything was explained to me in a way that I completely understood and I really didn’t have any questions at the end. My surgery is scheduled for 12/22 and I can’t wait!

My eye appt went 100% well. Check in was quick and the ladies were friendly and efficient. The lady who did pre-checking and dilating was so personable I am sorry I didn't write her name down to share. Dr. Hildreth was great as always. The ladies who take our money and set next appointments were helpful with my insurance questions. So I will continue to trust Discover with my vision. They've taken care of me through cataracts, laser, and optic nerve surgery. Dr. Jefferson is my hero for those things.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! This place is the most unorganized and unprofessional eye center I've ever been to. They not only gave me the wrong prescription, they argued with me when I tried to tell them I couldn't see as well with the lower prescription they gave me (even thoughI'vehad the same prescription for over 5 years). Plus, only 1 person can order contacts and if she's not there you have to come back another time. The lady that does order contacts will also argue with you if you try to explain the prescription is off. Worst overall experience I've had and will never use them again.

Dr. Gum has the absolute best bedside manner. I so wish my new insurance covered my visits at Discover Vision Centers because I have had wonderful care here throughout the years.

I had a great experience at Discover Vision Center today. Check in was quick, the waiting time was short, and the nurse and doctor were excellent. I recommend them to anyone who is interested in getting a thorough eye examination.

Everyone was friendly and professional. I was seen on time. Dr Gum is super nice and knowledgeable. She spent an appropriate amount of time answering all my questions. I did not feel rushed at all.

Discover Vision did an excellent job. This was my first ever eye appointment. Dr. Emily Gum was very kind and she explained everything to me as we went through the appointment. I cannot speak to their vision correction, as my vision is 20/20, but I will certainly be back for my check-up every year.
