This store is totally bogus! Corporate clearly wants it to be all self-checkout—they ditched almost every register and added a bunch of self-checkout ones. The managers here treat everyone like a thief; they won't let you use the self-checkout, making you wait forever while they do whatever, or it's a Saturday with a huge line and only one cashier. I asked a manager why they did this, and she basically said it's because of shoplifting. I told her I wasn't shoplifting, and neither were the people in front of me, but she didn't care. They need to either bring back the cashiers or let us use self-checkout! Dollar General lost a customer today!

The store needs someone available to check customers out. The store took out self checkout, but still require their employees to stock shelves and checkout customers. Only one employee while store is busy. This is not working. I stood at checkout with my cart hollering in store for anyone. It was embarrassing. The only attention I received was from other customers walking in store. I decided it wasn't worth my trouble waiting. I think management needs to get it together.

Employee Barb needs to learn some customer service skills. She acted as if it was a big inconvenience for her to stop what she was doing to check me out even though self checkout were not operational. I greeted her with a hello, and not a word back. After paying, I said thank you. Again, not a word back, then she just walks away from the register. VERY RUDE and uninviting. I would rather spend my money else where where it’s appreciated. Barb, if you hate your job that much, maybe you should find another job where you can sit on your a— and do nothing at all.
I would definitely like a response from DG on wether or not they feel this is how their customers should treated, but I doubt it will happen.

This is one of my favorite locations. The manager here is absolutely wonderful, and she makes sure to keep a beautiful store and great employees.

Awful Awful Awful.Manager would not ring my order up becuz they closed at 9. There was no PA announcement and I was not told. I was still shopping looking at clothes towards the front of the store when the mgr Came up and told me to leave because they were closed and I said well can you ring up my stuff. He said no because the safe was open and I said we’ll go close your safe and ring up my stuff up and he refused to do it. The mgr said he told me but he was lying. No one told more nor was there a PA announcement. I had no clue. so I left. I was not happy. I came very very close to being a Karen and when I got out to my car it was only 901. He should have rang me up. Never going there again.

The store is generally clean and the isles are wide and spacious. The store is nice and easy to navigate. Unfortunately the store is often out of stock of certain items and finding an employee is very difficult. Often tI have waited long periods of time simply waiting for a cashier at the counter.
