My buying experience was great Charles Trumps was a great salesman. Seven months later I traded in my truck and wanted to get a refund on the balance of my extended warranty and that is where the wheels came off. Let me start with saying I live about 1.5 hours from the dealer ship. I called and left 4-5 messages for Ryan Viscomi the finance manager to call me back. After I didn't get any calls back I decided to drive to the dealership to get it done. When I arrived at the dealer ship I spoke with Charles and he told me that Ryan was on a call and it shouldn't be more than 10 minutes. After waiting more than 20 minutes he walked out of his office past me and went out to the parking lot and traded vehicles with what I can only assume was his wife based on the interaction. Once I finally had a chance to speak with him I mentioned the phone calls and all I got was we prefer to do this in person. When I was told by Charles and the operator it could have been handled over the phone. No sorries just down to the point I handed him my paperwork signed one piece of paper and I was gone this all could have been handled via the Internet with a scanner. I have purchased over 30 vehicles for my family over the last 10 years. This will be my last with McCarthy if he is still employed.

The salesperson was very courteous and personable. He worked hard to help us get what we wanted. Even to trading with another dealer in St. Louis. He worked well as liaison for us between the sales manager and would and wouldn’t do. We didn’t want to bring it home in the rain which we ended up having to do but it was beautifully detailed when we picked it up and he was pretty thorough explaining the technology of the car. I’m not so good with technology and he made me feel very comfortable about if I got stuck or confused about anything I could come back for help. Very nice person.The finance person was a little bit of a fast talker for us to understand everything but, he re-explained things when we had questions and printed everything out so we could go over it slower once we got home. It was an overall good experience.Is the sales manager and finance manager the same person? If not, we didn’t meet the sales manager.

Fantastic team in Lee’s Summit! Quick to respond, communicative, and well worth the drive from Olathe, KS. The vehicles were pristine, their mileage was low, I couldn’t be happier. Charles Trumps & his team deserve a huge shout out. They were able to close a deal on the exact used vehicle I wanted the same day (with no down payment), and I hadn’t expected that due to my limited credit. They even laughed at my bad jokes. These guys are my new heroes! Please go see them if you’re in the market for a new or used vehicle.

We had Roman as our salesman. He was awesome and did great. What i didn’t like was the price online. There are 2 prices online. The sale price and the McCarthy price. The price jumped about 2,500 bucks over the sale price. Then when asked they didn’t really have an answer beside they did some work and the price wasn’t updated online yet. Still went with the car. Would definitely buy from Roman again.

I came across the truck with the features, and the general condition I wanted late Saturday night. McCarthy staff reached out near immediately, and with minimal effort I was able to complete the transaction the following Monday. This is quick service, and Roman has been an Ace sales representative through the process. This was my first online vehicle purchase; Roman, and his team at McCarthy made the process efficient, and painless.

Horrible! Steer clear! Especially if you're a single woman. This place is about as sleezy and slimy as they come. I bought an older car here, a 2012 Chevy Cruz, and have been lied to and cheated from the start. First, the car was advertised for $9900 then they snuck in an additional 1K on top of the price. Then there was a bunch of body work that had to be done and they said I wouldn't have to pay for that at all, but I ended up paying a $1900 ding and dent fee that I was told by Ray in finance everyone has to pay. As if that wasn't enough, they kept the car in the shop for the first 30 days that the warranty was good, and then when I had my first repair for $700 on a valve cap the first week of owning it, of course the warranty didn't apply because it had already expired before I even drove it off the lot! I got hit on by my sales guy Ian throughout the process, and then lied to again when Brian Knight, the GM, said he would help me with the $700 repair bill I had. He and Ashley GHOSTED me completely after I sent them an invoice and followed up. I have been promised help with the first bill and to be taken care of again and again, and yet they have failed to deliver every, single time! A guy named Dillon in their service department lied and said he was the Assistant Manager and also completely misdiagnosed the valve cap issue. When I got there to pick up the car I see a card that says he's a service manager, and of course that lie was never addressed even though I brought it up with Brian. Dillon lectured me about how this car was a "unicorn" and how they "lost" money on this vehicle and all the work they did, etc, etc. I put down $8500 of my own hard earned money, and financed an additional $8600. I rolled 2K in from a previous loan but essentially this car was 14K. Lies, lies, lies! Stay away! And NOW I go to start the car today and it WON'T START! So, only a little over a month into owning this garbage vehicle they sold me I've already shelled out for a huge repair and now a tow and probably an additional expensive repair. They say their 100 point inspection ensures you get a good car. That's a laugh. You get something that will drive long enough to get out of view before it falls apart. Don't trust this place!

I had the worst experience at this dealership! The salesman was pushy, condescending and didn't listen to anything I said! I left feeling so upset I didn't want to shop anymore. Everything he said was rude. There's no way I would've done business after being treated that way! The next day, I get a message asking about my appointment, when I responded how poorly it went, I got zero response. Not sure how a business like this survives. Worst customer service.

After 18 years, it was time to let my sweet Saturn go. McCarthy was our third dealership visit that day and we were blessed to work with Roman. He was patient, kind, and funny, doing everything he could to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. He answered a million questions! I wanted that Mosaic Black Trailblazer and he made it happen. Everyone we dealt with was professional, but Roman really stood out. Above all he demonstrated integrity, my "litmus test". Thank you Roman for making my car-buying experience great! McCarthy is fortunate to have you!

My salesman was fine and his assistant was very nice. The car was what was explained to me over the phone and they also shared the car fax, which I really appreciated. I financed through the dealership and the finance guy I didn’t care for. He was fine until I wouldn’t add one of the extra warranties to my policy. He was very pushy and then tried to make it seem like I was incompetent and didn’t understand why I needed it and should listen to him. That was the point I felt he went too far and got aggravated. It was disappointing that I had a good experience until then. With the finance portion being the final part of the process it made me walk out with a bad taste toward the experience.

If you take your car here for service you're a mark. Wasn't much better before it got sold to the McCarthy auto empire. There's enough idiots giving these people money you don't need to be another one. Steer clear. If I could give zero stars I would. Those easily susceptible to 2000s era sales tactics are welcome. What a joke.

Ross Evans is a top-notch service advisor. One of the few people that I kept his card, so when I call into the dealership, I ask for him and know the visit will be professional, quick, and efficient. He is the kind of employee all organizations strive for. Plus, he just seems like a great guy all around. Jeff
