Poor communication and lackluster service. I originally purchased the balloons for my kiddo's birthday party and told the clerk upfront I only wanted to purchase the balloons today and I'd come back closer to the party date to have them blown up. The associate then proceeded to take my phone number, address. I asked them why this was necessary and they said it's for the balloon service. I repeated that I was going to purchase the balloons today and come back another day to have them blown up, I didn't require the service they offered. They then said "Oh, OK" and declined that part of the transaction. I come back for the balloons to be blown up and the clerk tells me it's going to be a 3 hour wait. I ask why it will take 3 hours to blow up a few balloons and they said since I didn't pay for the balloon service I was in the back of the line from everyone else that paid for their service. I was frustrated at this point because that wasn't communicated to me during the balloon purchase. So I hand them the balloons, I come back in 3 hours and the clerk won't say a word to me. They look me directly in the eye and refuse to speak to me. I speak up and say I'm here to pick up my order. Someone else comes over to help me and I get my balloons and I'm on my way. Ultimately, the customer service and communication is poor. If I had another option to get my party supplies I would go there. This store is a necessary evil.

If I could rate zero stars I would. Understaffed and incompetent. No one should have to wait in the check out line for 40 minutes at an establishment like this.

Absolutely horrendous experience at the Lees Summit, MO store. My daughter was accused by a manager of breaking a display and then repeatedly harassed by her saying things like “look what you did!” “You broke it!” “You know, this isn’t your playground” and when my daughter offered an apology the lady said “Sorry isn’t going to fix it, is it?” “Sorry doesn’t help.” My daughter was so upset she no longer wanted to shop for her birthday decorations and asked if we could leave the store, so we did. On our way out the door the manager lady called after me to tell me that my daughter broke the display and that I’ve done a bad job with her. The display is a big balloon that looks exactly the same as it did when we walked in the store. I am still in shock that this happened.

Not sure if it was just due to being out of season but there were VERY LITTLE costumes and display and the staff wasn't very friendly when I asked them about costumes or fitting rooms. I probably will drive the extra bit more to go to the one I used to live by. ??♀️

Customer service at this location is horrible. We waited for an incredibly long time to be checked out. They were running one register in the middle section. We had to ask where to be checked out when the cashier informed us she was helping someone else who was still shopping. So we waited for her to finish up and come back to the register. There ended up being 6 people behind us, just waiting, while one employee checked out the customer who was getting a large order and another employee messed with balloons. She stopped to ask if anyone had a balloon order and helped that person but didn’t volunteer to check anyone out and went back to popping old balloons while the line got larger and we stood around. A manager finally came out but she fiddled with registrar tape and then opened a register to help the people behind us. What I thought would be a quick in and out for some party supplies ended up being a frustrating experience. The next time I need something I’ll just stick to Walmart.

I needed to pick up balloons for a memorial service. I contacted the store and was instructed the best method to order was online. Chris did an excellent job of handling my order and helping me get to the service on time. Curbside delivery was flawless and I have no complaints. Excellent experience and will definitely return in the future!
