Now the employees gave us a second look, didn't appear to care that we were in their store, may have even been annoyed that we were there. Didn't saying welcome, hello or anything, but did go back to the conversation they were having before we got there.

Very unfriendly and unwelcoming. Any question I asked was answered in a perfunctory way, while they kept doing whatever they were doing. No offer to show me where my very specific choices would be in the store. (This was a weekday, and I only saw 2 other people in the store). When I called that morning to ask if they had a specific Kona solid color, they claimed they had '70something thousand bolts' and so couldn't be bothered to look. So I went. They didn't have one solid color in the limited palette of 5 colors I was working with. They said all their fabrics were at least "mottled", no solids. So, unfriendly and unwelcoming, and didn't have what I needed, which was not an unusual choice. I called a quilt store in Lenexa, and they said they have a whole wall of solids. And maybe they'll even be nice to me, too.

I am not one to write reviews - either positive or negative but felt very strongly that I needed to write a review regarding this quilt shop. My mother, father, sister, and I had the blessing of driving together from Texas to Northwest Iowa in the last few weeks. We made several stops at quilt shops along the way and the Quilter's Station was in the top few of our experiences. I read the reviews posted prior to choosing to stop here, telling my mom and sister that the website had beautiful pictures of the store but some not so positive reviews of the staff. We were greeted immediately with a welcome and a smile when we walked into the store. The staff was more than helpful in locating items and offering suggestions. There was a particular kit we were interested in and they looked high and low to find it and YES we even used the restroom. This is a wonderful quilt shop for all the material and stock but more importantly the staff. Make sure you stop and shop - you won't be disappointed. I just wish they were closer to Texas. As an alternative, I will definitely shop from their website as I know I can call ask questions and be greeted with great staff more than willing help.

We traveled 3 hours to visit this shop. We all agreed the Wow factor was present & shop was worth the drive. We asked for restroom explaining the long trip and was told we don't have one. I truly didn't believe it as this shop offered classes and currently one was being held. I was shown the gas station across the highway was the closest one. Tried to shop but really needed restroom and again I asked. Shook her head at me. Went to gas station and went back to shop.. witnessed lady give key to someone to use restroom. We decided not to shop much, as the saying in Pretty Woman, BIG MISTAKE BIG! I can't believe sewing sisters would do this to others, we were not scruffy looking, all in our 60's had list in hand. probably lost 1500.00 in sales that day. I took it very personal and was insulted.

Wrote a review about how nice this shop was before. I even shared some photos. I failed to mention how uninviting the lady was in this store. After reading some reviews, I thought I ought to mention this. Even my 18-yr old daughter remembered how cold she was to us. We never returned.

I visited this shop about 3 years ago with 5 others and had a wonderful experience. Recently, I Did a pre-bus trip scout before planning our fall shop hop. Buses have a bathroom but ladies don’t always like to use them. We make use of the facilities at the shops. Very disappointed that they no longer allow customers to use the restroom. Sadly we have to take this shop out of consideration for our trip.

I couldn’t wait to visit this shop. After driving more than 3 hours my friend and I were not allowed to use their restrooms. No one was wearing a mask, including employees and guests were not asked to wear a mask upon entering the store. The CDC dropped mask mandates weeks ago. I asked why we couldn’t use the restroom and the employee responded that they would be at Covid risk when they cleaned the restroom if we used it. We were told to go the CVS store or QT and use their restrooms. I was shocked and humiliated. I was planning on spending a lot at this store but felt devalued as a customer. We shopped at other fabric stores in the area instead, and I will not return to Quilters Station. BTW I am fully vaccinated and had my booster against Covid!

I paid 300 down for a weekend plans changed and they keep it to make a profit. This business is greedy. There is a wait-list and they will charge full price for the person filling my spot of 650. While keeping my 300.00.

The staff didn’t even speak, except in check out where you are given the impression that checking you out is a hassle for them. The store is so tightly packed and cramped that there is not room to move or to see everything.
