I had an extremely disappointing and stressful 3-month experience with Wicklunds and the shops they outsourced work to. My vehicle was a stolen/recovery situation, and I provided a list of issues that were 100% present upon arrival. Unfortunately, those concerns were ignored.
Despite my repeated requests, a thorough inspection by a qualified mechanic was never conducted. The bodywork performed at Wicklunds was subpar — it left noticeable white marks that never came off, even after multiple washes. Additionally, my matte black rims were repainted with a shiny gloss finish without my consent.
Wicklunds outsourced tire-related work to another shop that failed on multiple levels. My four bent rims were not repaired, even though they claimed (on three separate occasions) that one of them had been. Worse yet, they dangerously overinflated my tires to 81 PSI — far beyond the safe limit — and I unknowingly drove on them for several days.
When I returned the vehicle due to serious vibrations, Wicklunds blamed “regular wear and tear,” which led me to trust their judgment and purchase a brand-new set of tires. It wasn’t until I visited the outsourced mechanic shop that I learned the truth:
-The rims were still bent.
-Crucial rim components were missing.
-It was confirmed that the tire shop had overinflated my tires to 81 PSI.
I brought this to Wicklunds’ attention, and they admitted it was the tire shop’s mistake. I informed my insurance company, but still gave Wicklunds one final chance (at my insurer's request) to repair the bent rims. After three months of wasted time and zero resolution, my insurance company told Wicklunds to stop working on the vehicle. I immediately took it to a Lexus dealership.
Within two hours, Lexus thoroughly inspected the car, documented everything (including video), and confirmed major issues that Wicklunds and their partner shops had failed to address. My insurer totaled the car based on Lexus’s findings — something that should have happened three months earlier.
This entire ordeal was a huge waste of time, trust, and effort. I originally chose Wicklunds because of a great experience at Kearney Carstar, but this location did not meet even the basic standards of professional or responsible service.

This is the only place I will trust with my car. They are the most honest and professional people I have ever dealt with. They are so nice and explain every detail about your service. Aaron, Michelle, Billy and all the rest are so kind and nice. They have always met the high standards they stand by. You can trust your vehicle to them completely.

I was in an accident on a Thursday, my car was towed here and they called me to set up the estimate to see what the damages were. They refused to do my estimate at first because I would not sign paper work for them to do the work if it was not totaled. I told them if my car was not totaled I would have it towed somewhere else to have the work done. The receptionist Michelle, was rude and said that I needed to get my car off the lot that day (this was the following Monday). I left and she called me to tell me before the car could be moved, I had to pay a $462 tow bill. I called my insurance who reached back out to them to get my estimate done. Michelle called back to schedule my estimate. When I went back to have the estimate done, she told me I needed to sign a paper so they could bill my insurance for the tow bill. She tried to be sneaky and have me sign the paperwork again for them to do the work on my car. She then snatched the paper away and rolled her eyes. I do not recommend this place and the receptionist Michelle needs a lesson in customer service.

My car was recently hit while parked at my workplace, and I chose to have the repairs done at Wicklund CarStar in Liberty, MO.
From the moment I came in for the estimate to the day I picked up my car, I experienced nothing but professionalism, compassion, and excellent communication from their team. They made the entire process smooth and stress-free, keeping me updated every step of the way.
While the insurance company I had to deal with was less than easy, Wicklund CarStar handled everything on my behalf and made sure the repair was done right.
I’m very grateful for their service and will definitely be a repeat customer. Highly recommend!

Solid company. Got hit by a dump truck and CarStar Liberty, MO was able to work with the insurance to completely fix my car. Very seamless, easy, and transparent. I recommend this location over anywhere else in the KC metro area.

Choose Wicklund’s Carstar if you are looking for first class repair of your damaged vehicle! Their work is top notch as is their communication and their timetable! They only kept my Highlander 7 days! I highly recommend them!

Avoid Jason at all costs, he is rude and unprofessional. My car itself wasn’t fixed properly and had new scratches on it from improper paint drying. They’ll take advantage of you, especially if you’re a woman and don’t know anything about cars. Wish I’d looked elsewhere when deciding where to take my car as they kept it nearly a month only for me to find out there was new damage done to it.

Wicklund’s CARSTAR has always been a great place to go to when I need professional and accurate body work on my vehicles. They are courteous and knowledgeable. The front desk personnel explained everything clearly. On my most recent visit CARSTAR went above and beyond to get my vehicle repaired quickly and professionally. Billy at CARSTAR was a pleasure to deal with and was a MAJOR help with facilitating my repairs. A big “Thank you” to the entire shop at Wicklund’s CARSTAR! 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
