I am having a wonderful experience at ExtraSpace storage in Maplewood Missouri.
Kat at the front desk is so helpful.
The temperature inside the unit is perfect, with all of the units being climate controlled, and I find it to be very clean and bug free!

Highly recommend if you’re looking for a storage unit! Kat, the store manager, was an absolute pleasure to work with and made my experience seamless. I went in by myself after a bad experience at a different storage company and felt comfortable and at ease right away — the facility is spotless and Kat couldn’t have been nicer.

I am dissatisfied with how my account was handled while renting here. Shady surprise rent increases and no pro- rated refund for the last month, regardless that the unit was not occupied the whole month.
Wish they would have explained that when I signed up, but was directed to use the website.
Just like any other landlord. Greedy.
Facilities themselves were fine.

This facility is amazing. I use my unit for my business items so I am there almost daily. It is always clean, well staffed with friendly people (like Sherry who helped me yesterday with an odd request). I moved from another storage company in town and the difference is night and day!

Didn’t have a great experience. Office not open during posted office hours. Vacated the space and left the key in the lock and was told I needed to come remove the lock (the lock they provided and have the key to) before I could cancel. I would have, had the office been open when I came to take care of it. When asked what the process is to vacate and cancel, no clear instructions given.

I have no other storage center experiences to compare to. However, I can imagine this is an industry where the average quality of customer service could be lacking.
But that is NOT the case here. My move in/sign up process was smooth, quick and easy. What really stood out to me though, was my move out process earlier this week. Some confusion happened with how this process worked. But Sherry (who’s obviously already heavily mentioned in these reviews) took the time to check my account, even though I came in at the very end of her workday. Without going into too much detail, she called me before locking up and heading out - and went the extra mile to help me save money, that I would’ve otherwise wasted. This was clearly not something she had to do and I wouldn’t have blamed a business too much for saying “tough luck” in a similar situation to this one.
Don’t normally write many reviews for places - but I’m very impressed and will be using this facility again if/when I need storage space in the future!
