“Many people are not prepared with final decisions or plans regarding funeral arrangements prior to the death of a loved one. That was me. I was that person. When my mom lost her 10 week battle from a ruptured brain aneurysm on May 31st, I had no clue where to start. Having never done this before, I picked up the phone and called Delaney's to arrange her final transportation from the facility where she passed. From the very first phone call, Kyle was kind, sympathetic, and patient with the very long list of questions I had. He was extremely flexible with our availability to meet to discuss next steps and make the necessary arrangements.

2 days later, we met Kyle at Delaney's. He was very diligent while helping to write her obituary. He graciously took extra time to help us step by step while we finalized plans to honor her on this day. He detailed ceremony and burial options, program layouts, flower arrangements, music selection, anticipated guest capacity, funeral reception location suggestions, music, decor and everything in between. He entered and re-entered all our requests and selections as we changed our minds repeatedly during this process. He gave us our to do list and he had his. He called to check in and would follow up to see if he could help in any way.

Fast forward to the day of her services. The facility was beautiful and my mom looked more elegant than I could have expected. The staff was present, friendly, accommodating and empathetic to the needs of our family and friends. Prior to the start of the service, I was walking around full of nerves, in anticipation of reading the eulogy I wrote and would stand in front of everyone to read. After asking if I was ok, they brought me to the back and stood with me behind closed doors. They listened as I rehearsed the pages I had written to honor her life an legacy. They were kind and encouraging with their words in response, as I battled myself wondering if what I was about to read would do her justice. I couldn't have gotten through it without them. The service was beautiful, the details were thoughtful, and the day was more peaceful than I imagined it would be. All of this is because of the team who had a hand in the planning and execution of this day.
