I was beyond happy prior to Covid with the level of care. Now, not at all happy. can not get calls answered, drug cost nearly doubled in 2 months and now a notice that a price increase in July. Mother complains constantly about quality of food, but I can't get in to verify. No longer a happy daughter.

My experience was they left my mom on her side so long she ended up with infected beef sores. She fell twice in 1night. And was gone within 1 week of being there. So you decide

I am a resident of a court at the manor. Been here about 1 1/2 years and I love it. I have a very nice cottage with neighbors that are my friends now. Before the virus, we had a pie party, home made soup party, etc where we were all invited. Now, since we can't go to the Manor, our noon day meal is brought to us. And what a meal, great food and usually enough for supper. So I am glad to be a part of this fine family.

We investigated nursing homes in California, Oregon, and Missouri before choosing the manor for assisted living for my mother. She was an active participant in her choice, and it made a big difference that she had an independent life as long as she could in assisted living. She lived there for several years before becoming too sick with Dementia to stay, and then she moved right over to the nursing home area and has been there for many years since. One of the things I like most about the manor is that it doesn't smell like urine as some nursing homes I've visited. Any of you who know that "sick/urine" odor know what I mean. The manor is clean. Everyone at the manor has always been wonderful to my mother, and I can tell when I visit that she is loved and cared for. I made "surprise" visits and came many times of the day and evening, so there was plenty of opportunity to see the staff and facilities. My only complaint (in YEARS of her being there) was that a few of her clothes articles disappeared, but since they go into a common laundry area, it's not a big deal to me. It has very reasonable rates, the staff is caring and kind, and they always call and let me know whenever there is something going on with her. I live in another state now (used to live in Missouri), and it's a great comfort to know she is well cared for. It's an extremely difficult profession and line of work to be in, and I think the Ozark Methodist Manor does it better than most, especially for those with Dementia. I can't say enough about how kind the staff is, from the nurses to the hospice workers and ministers. Unless you have $50,000 a year of private funds to spend on a fancy Alzheimer's facility, I think the Ozark Methodist Manor is the finest facility that you can find at the most reasonable price --- I would highly recommend it as a place to check out.

My husband and I visited in Dec 2011 to see the facility in person before bringing my parents for a visit in Jan. We could not have been more graciously welcomed by staff and residents we spoke with. We toured the entire property and all of our questions were answered. When I brought my parents to visit , they were treated with the same courtesy. We spent at least 3 hours visiting the property and had lunch in the dining room. They were impressed by staff they encountered from the administrative, dining, nursing, and maintenance all were professional, friendly and courteous. Residents we met were friendly and were genuinely happy to share their experience living at the Manor. Before we left they had selected a cottage and were anxious to get moved. They have been living at the Manor for 2 months now and could not be more pleased with their decision.

My grandma just moved into an apartment here, and it sure seems great. The apartments are nice, the staff is great and the cafeteria food is good.
