I went in for an alignment after replacing an A arm on the passenger side of my explorer and they refused to do it. They said my tie ends were bad because of a loose nut, that both my lower ball joints were bad, and the bearings were shot on the passenger side as well. Three guys would randomly say something in Spanish and another guy would translate. Fast movements with the flashlight to show me what they were talking about. Finally I asked how much to fix it all just so I could have a moment to look and think. Worked like a charm because the translator went into the office to look things up. Lower ball joints were seated correctly and casing was still intact; nothing wrong with them. I am pretty sure they loosened the nut on the tie rod because it was very clean looking and they tightened it before I left. The hub on the passenger side was showing some wear to it and I'm sure it was due to the A Arm going out while driving on the highway. However, the condition of the hub was not bad enough to refuse the alignment. When I started asking questions about why they were stating that the lower ball joints were bad even though they were seated correctly and the casing was still enclosed and no lubricant was leaking. The translator had no idea what to tell me and looked like a deer caught in the headlights. They obviously didn't think I was going to know anything about my vehicle. He had them bring my explorer out immediately afterwards.
I took my explorer to the guy in Waverly, MO to have it looked over again. He said everything was fine. The hub on the passenger side was showing some wear due to the A Arm going out and it being driven(hub was just over a year old), but that it wasn't shot or in desperate need of being replaced. We had him replace it anyway and then took it to BIG O in Chillicothe, MO to have it aligned.
The technician at BIG O said that everything looked great and all was tight. He even checked the back end. There was a 3° fix that needed to be done for the alignment. He stated it was the easiest alignment he has done. He even complimented the work my guy and the waverly mechanic did on the explorer prior to the alignment.
Girls, if a mechanic or any service person ever makes you feel panicked, wants you to make a quick decision, and can't answer questions then find someone else. Make sure you do some homework on what could be wrong with your vehicle before going in. That way you have an idea on what's going on before you get there and you can ask questions. Look up how to YouTube videos so you know the process and what the parts should look like. The more you know the less likely you are to be scammed. Be safe!!

Bunch of guys looking to take advantage of women. They lied to my fience about issues on the front end of her explorer not knowing that I am a mechanic and had replaced everything they told her needed to be replaced. The only reason it was taken to them was because I don't own an alignment machine. They even loosened the nut on the tie rod and said that the alignment couldn't be done because that nut was loose.

If you've had a good experience here then i'm happy for you... Our experience with The Alignment Shop was very frustrating and disappointing. While we understand that mistakes happen, the repeated issues we encountered were unacceptable. The first time we went there we understood mistakes happen so it wasn't a big deal. But today we had a scheduled appointment to drop off our truck at 9 AM. They assured us it would be a quick job, approximately 3 hours and they'd start immediately.
However, after waiting for 3-4 hours, we called to check on the progress. The person who answered the phone seemed clueless about our truck and its purpose at the shop.
The shop kept making excuses, blaming other employees. They claimed they’d start working on it right away, but another 3 hours passed, and the alignment hadn’t even begun. We were told it wouldn’t be done until past 5 PM at that point.
The lack of coordination between staff members was evident. It felt like the right hand didn’t know what the left hand was doing. If they had been upfront about the delay, we would have understood. But repeatedly providing inaccurate information is frustrating.
When you tell a customer something, stick to it. If you promise to work on the truck promptly, follow through. Waiting 9 hours for a 3-hour job is unacceptable.
