“It was my first time in the Happy Camper Clothing and I ended up chatting with the owner Stacey about lots of things (Gilmore Girls, Yuka App, the Downtown Scene and much more!). She was incredibly warm and has a genuine passion for what she does and providing quality products is a priority. They, wife and husband duo, design and screen print (self taught!) and their products are so much fun and with positive messages! The store itself is so fun and eclectic, before walking in they had a little sting that you could add on-to and make a wish/share in the positive energy - it was all just very welcoming. Walking in just feels like home; warm, welcoming and bright. When people say support small business this is one that is easy to get behind - all around great people, products, storefront and the owners are top tier. We will absolutely be back”

“The first time I visited JOYS when it opened in 2011, I knew I stepped into someplace special. They have a little bit of everything! I've purchased gifts for others as well as for myself. I can always find something unique and sentimental. I love the new building with the market in the back. Every booth gives a different artist/vendor the opportunity to share their vision. The owner and his wife took the time to say hello and showed such a deep gratitude for their customers when I was in last week. JOYS is an absolute must for this Illinois girl when I get to St. Charles.”

“Really love this store honestly, I try to come in every chance I get. The products are very cool if you're into hippie/stoner culture and everything is nicely made. The reason I don't give it 5 stars is that almost everytime I've come in the workers all seem to kinda have an attitude problem. I work retail so I understand how horrible customer service conditions can be but I'm quiet, respectful, and don't cause any problems yet some of them still make me feel like an inconvenience whenever I come in. Especially if I want to buy 21+ items, I understand that I do look a little young for my age but they always treat me like a sneaky teenager until I show my ID, like a guilty until proven innocent deal. Like I said though this is the coolest store on the loop and I love coming in.”

“Stopped in here for some holiday shopping and I was able to pick up a few stocking stuffers. This store has a great variety of items from clothing, to crystals, to cups, to camping stuff. You can find something for ANYONE in here! Cool unique items too! The store is nicely organized and items are clearly priced. When it's busy it can be very tight and difficult to move throughout the store. Opportunity for better signage to find this store - the outside sign says "life is good".”
