I would not recommend this place. I had a check written out to me from Joe Markins in Columbia. I take it up there and of course Calvin the manager has got some kind of chip on his shoulder and is not willing to help anybody out and then when you get the bigger people on the phone, he seems to throw a fit about it. This place is very unprofessional and really needs to fire Calvin and go under new management.

I have been treated with respect and kindness every time I have dealt with both First National, and now Central Bank. I have known many of the employees for a number of years and have known only highly professional and genuinely supportive treatment in absolutely any interaction I have had with these bank employees. Especially now, during the restrictive Covid times, I feel they all have done their very best.

I'm sorry but the teller Daniel needs to be taken out of drive thru. I worry about handing over money to deposit anytime he is working. If it's busy he acts flustered and frustrated, you can read every bit of it across his face. He has deposited the wrong amount of money before, and it was a pain to get it fixed.

I have been a customer of Central Bank of Audrain County for several years and have family members who are customers also. This week, I received a disbursment of a few thousand dollars from my late mother's estate. When I went into the bank to see about an IRA or Mutual Fund, I was treated poorly. The lady did not ask me to have a seat, but let keep standing in her office for several minutes while she looked me up in the computer, then said I needed to talk with someone else who was only in that day for a few minutes. She then left me standing in her office, brought the other person back, who proceeded to ask me to come back another day. At no time did either of them acknowledge I had lost a family member recently or ask me to sit. When I stated that I was upset and why, I did not recieve an apology. I have decided instead of bringing my existing IRA's to Central Bank, I am taking my checking and savings accounts elsewhere.

I've been a Central Bank customer 12 years. I have not done any business with Central Bank of Audrain which is an affiliate. I tried to open a free basic checking account with them, but was denied since I have had many different addresses and I've had so many different accounts over the last 12 years. I currently only have a Checking, Savings, and HSA with Central Bank of Jefferson City. I tried calling to figure out why I'm being denied and was told I would never be able to open up any accounts with them. I was astonished of their response and I kept trying to convince the lady that I'm a good customer, but she got feed up with me and hung up on me. The good news is I've always been treated really well at all other locations. I've never missed a payment on anything, never had an account in negative standing, and always pay my bills on time. I don't know what its like to make a late payment on anything. I have great credit, although this doesn't pertain to credit at all, its so insulting I can't have a free basic checking account with Central Bank of Audrain.

I am 27 years old, a father, a hardworking citizen, college student and a single income family. My wife and I were very excited to finally save enough money for a down payment to purchase a vehicle off of one of your customers by the name of Eric , nice guy. My wife and I drove 3 hours from Ozark, MO to test drive and purchase his vehicle. I brought along a cashier's check just as your bank recommended. Eric and I filled out the title work and then he took my Great Southern Bank cashier's check inside while I checked out my newly purchased SUV. A few minutes went by and then out comes Mike Bunge very angry and upset demanding to know where I got this fake check, as he was about 6 inches from my face. I ensured him I just got the check 6 hours ago from my bank in Ozark, Mo. Mike snickered at my response and said again my check was fake and suggested that I was making up where I got my check. Mike threated to call the police and again said they my check was no good and fake, as all of this was being said in the parking lot in front of your customers. I rattled off an idea to make sure that he dialed the correct number on the check and Mike said that the number was for a bakery shop. I offered the opinion that maybe he dialed the number wrong so he went inside and tried the number again. After that everything went fine and he apologized for acting like he did, but just because you apologize for acting like a horse's a** doesn't mean that it's okay to treat a human in the manner he did. I am very embarrassed Bryan Cook and The Central Bank of Adrian County, as well as for the customers that had to witness this unfortunate situation. I am angry that I had to encounter this situation and do not expect this kind of treatment from anyone that is employed by a bank, especially a President of Central Bank. I know that Central Bank is privately owned and expects much more out of their Presidents, I do not expect any more apologies, as I feel they will not help with what has been stolen from me, the experience of buying a new car. I am actually in business school and one of the lessons I have been taught is that a customer is likely to tell twice as many people about a bad service than good. If I am not mistaken there is a Central Bank in Ozark, Mo and I have told everyone I know about this experience and I suggest you find a way to teach Mike a lesson in customer service before he drives your customers and potential customer away. My wife, daughter and I had potential happy memory stolen by Mike by being accused of being thieves. Thanks, Concerned Citizen,
