“I was in Milin for several days on business and, being a small town, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from the only hotel in town. I can say I was genuinely impressed. From the outside it looks like a nice, simple small-town hotel, but once you get into the rooms, you can tell the owners have put a lot of work into making them comfortable. My room had a refrigerator, microwave, sink, a very nice full bathroom, and a good-sized smart TV. Having a smart TV was a huge plus for me because I could actually log into Netflix and Disney+ and watch what I wanted instead of being limited to basic hotel cable. The bed was probably the biggest surprise. It was extremely comfortable — honestly more comfortable than beds I’ve had at some Best Western, Hilton, and Marriott properties. The air conditioning also worked phenomenally, which is something you really appreciate after a long day working. What really makes this place stand out, though, are the owners. They are some of the nicest and most accommodating people you could ask for. Anytime I needed something, whether it was making copies or helping me with another request, they were right there and happy to help. If you’re traveling through the Milin area and thinking about just continuing on to Kirksville for a hotel, I’d seriously recommend stopping here instead. The town may be small and quiet, but this hotel is comfortable, clean, well-equipped, reasonably priced, and run by genuinely good people. I would absolutely stay here again.”

“My first impression of the Stanley Hotel was "Old Fashion." Unique would be my second adjective. From entering the foyer, I was delighted by my surroundings. Their staff was excellent. Terms like friendly and helpful would not be doing them justice. I felt completely comfortable. My room was quaint in the best sense of the word. My stay was most peaceful. Their hospitality is a hard sought after quality many places lack.”
