“I am writing as a long-time member of United Credit Union. After reading James M.'s negative post above I had to respond. I read, and re-read the post and to be quite frank, it made no sense. But, judging from the picture that doesn't surprise me. I have been a member of the United Credit Union for almost 20 years and not once in those 20 years has UCU done anything that approaches bad business practices. In fact, they have been more than courteous and have gone overboard in helping us through the years. They even granted my son a college scholarship after achieving a high score on the ACT. There's obvious more to James M.'s story than he is telling. Perhaps he should check out his customers first before doing business with people of dubious character. In case you weren't aware of it James M., most financial institutions charge you a fee to cash a check if you are not a member of that institution. Your accusations are unfounded and untrue. And, btw, the transaction was not "taxed" it was simply a handling fee which, as I said, most places of business charge. As a member of UCU for a very long time I would HIGHLY recommend doing business with them. They will do everything they can to treat you fairly - and kindly.”
