About Hot Spot - Mount Vernon

Hot Spot is a decent and comfortable place close to home, good for a stop on a road trip. The food is very good, especially at lunch, with awesome calzones, corn dogs, and egg rolls. It is a favorite for breakfast and a drink. The staff is friendly, with employees who are always nice and always have smiles on their faces. The store offers gas and has Ding Dings machines, though there are only two. The store can look a bit run down and the single restroom has no changing table, not even a flat surface, which is a significant drawback for families. Overall, it is a good visit for good food and friendly service.

    Love this Hot Spot! The lunch is fantastic and the service is always top-notch. Every time I’m in town, stopping here is an absolute must. It’s even better knowing their beef is locally grown on one of the best cattle ranches in Missouri. Highly recommend!

    Always great people working inside. Clean, friendly, and can easily become your favorite.

    I came here for refueling. Thought I would go inside and get something to eat.... WoW they have a very good variety of freash cooked food. I had pork steak, fried potatoes and beans. When im back in this area again I will stop and get me some of their ribs. You all need to stop here and get yourself a good meal too.
