Can’t go any lower, the post master is nice but her supervisor Ryan has NO customer service skills at all. He seems to have a complex that a person should not have in a customer service field such as this. It’s sad because everyone else is pretty nice except for him.

The woman up front, right now. Dark hair and glasses, is rude and not friendly at all. People like her in the postal service is why more and more people seek alternative methods.
Edit: Had another bad encounter with her yesterday. She needs to be fired. People should not have to tolerate her. Especially at the post office.

They can't deliver your mail early this 6:30 pm or later is not cool had something mail to me from Jefferson city on the 15 and I still have not got it .there no reason for the mail to run this late mount vernon is not a big town all mail should be done by 4 or 5

Our substitue postman today 12/5/22 on Walnut st. In Mt.Vernon, Mo. Is the nicest person. Reminds me of a time when Postmen where polite something we hav'nt experienced in a few years, in this area.

For the last few months I have been getting my mail returned to sender with no known new address. This affects my daily life. Utility bills, letters from the doctor, letters from the state of Missouri. I submitted a complaint online and was told it was taken care of. I have been waiting two weeks for "out for delivery" credit card as well as important business documents. I personally have gotten no mail with my name on it now for 3 weeks, that's no ads, no wonderful credit card offers. NOTHING. I have lived here two years and now I have to "verify" my current address with my credit card company since the statement was returned to them. They are refusing the current address I live at. What a mess! This Mt Vernon Post office needs some guidance.

I would appreciate the carrier not using my yard to turn around in, she pulls into our drive but she apparently cant back up so she turns her vehicle around in my yard rutting it up. I have called and spoke to the postmaster

They got rid of an antique table near front door and replaced it with temporary storage boxes for packages. I have a PO Box and work nights, so more often than not I have a yellow slip waiting in my PO Box telling me I have a package waiting.Why they don’t actually use the storage boxes for packages is beyond me. The storage boxes are almost always empty so I know it’s not space. They’re just too lazy to put the packages in them. Making me have to wait a day or two, and go in when I should be sleeping after work. Frustrating.

03/24/2022 ... I have been to the post office twice this week to get 2 rolls of stamps and have yet to get them. Understood the Postmaster was not there and the employees could get to them. Very poor service from the postmaster to put the postal employees in that situation. I work for a business and the stamps are needed!

Well Organized Post Office. Mt vernon usps is an Older Historic type building which is fun. I always have great service at the window with one of the Clerks. I love my weekly visits into the Post office with her.
