Visiting from the uk and decided to stop by here on our road trip - this museum was the highlight of the town and also several of the other small towns !!! Jeff was absolutely amazing and so passionate and I mentioned how I was into historical fashion and he showed me the incredible (if not slightly haunted) upstairs ! The museum itself had so much information and artefacts from all different time spans and this was overall one of the highlights of our trip!! Thank you Jeff !!

For a small location this place packs in a ton of history. Some interactive items for kids, and I would recommend going as part of a road trip.Just over the levee there is also a lookout point on the river with built in binoculars that's amazing.

Packed with information! A collection of items far beyond what you'd expect in such an out of the way place. Jeff is very friendly, enthusiastic, helpful and well informed. Ask questions! One of the best collections on site is the information in his head! Also, a great collection of antiques giving insight into American history. and an impressive collection of intact Native American artifacts, not just shards.

Good little museum for a small town. We went because we pass the area on our spring and fall travels. Lately the wife had read a book on the New Madrid earthquake of 1811-12. They have a couple short videos one historical and the other geological that set up your tour of the facility. Well worth the $5 entrance fee for adults.

This little place packs a punch!! We definitely didn't realize how much wonderful history was packed into this museum. We stayed for a little over an hour, but had we arrived earlier we could have easily made it 2 or 3.The video at the beginning of the visit definitely helps with perspective, so please don't discount it. Don't forget to visit the upstairs!!Plenty of parking space and once done you can walk across the street for a wonderful view of the Mississippi River.Highly recommend.

This is a really cool place to say you were there. There is a small museum that you must go through. It had a lot of things to look at and take pictures of.
