Super nice staff but they did not give us any information on what they were charging us for them to plug in our W2's and adding our new born into our paperwork. They ended up charging us 305$ just to process the taxes when I could have done them for less then half of that anywhere else.

In early 2023 I filled out the Federal tax forms on the IRS website. I never received the email confirmation that the forms were received. I didn't want the State tax forms to be late, so I just printed them out, filled them out and mailed them to my states appropriate address. I was expecting a federal refund and didn't owe any state taxes. The refund never came. I waited until the middle of September to reach out to H & R Block. When I did, Joyce, at the nearest year round office said come on in. I went in with all my required documents, and she had me done in less than an hour. Evidently September is a slow tax time. I was happy to have that load off me. A couple of days later H & R Block sent me confirmation that both my Federal and state tax forms were excepted. Yahoo!

I set up an appointment on a Wednesday to meet with a H&R Block tax specialist the following Monday. In the days leading up to the meeting, I received three text message reminders for the appointment. I showed up five minutes early, and no one in the office greeted me. I waited in the waiting area for 25 minutes before I interrupted one of the employees who was helping another customer, and I told them about my appointment. Then, the employee informed me the person with whom I was meeting wasn't in the office that day. Funny, I never received a call or text message telling me about the cancellation or about a possible rescheduling. The employee tried to help me by showing me some tax withholding calculators online. Next, she told me that I could try to call the tax specialist the next day because she would be in the office. I'm sorry, but I was the person who made and kept the appointment. Shouldn't the employee who had the appointment and didn't show up for the meeting call and apologize to me? Where is the customer service? I waited for a call the next day, and I never received one. I've used Block for the past 20 years. After this experience, I will take my business elsewhere!

Ms. Harris at the O'Fallon, MO office is the only reason I would come back. I usually file my own returns, but had an odd question for the 2022 return that she clarified easily.

Most of the staff is nice, but my tax expert was extremely rude and talked down to me multiple times. I don't plan on doing business with this location ever again.
