Joyce & John the drivers and their crews that helped pack and unpack were amazing. It was reassuring knowing everything loaded onto their truck stayed with them until delivered.

Listing agent, (Scott), was excellent, came out to the home, explained everything, took an inventory and gave us a price later that day. The operations coordinator did a great job too(Beth).
The actual packers, all but one was great. The drivers, Cole and Scott, were exceptional!
We had two loads, the first load had helpers that were okay, the second load helper(Scott)was exceptional. If it wasn't for the one packer and splitting the load, I would have given 5 stars.
This was my first long distance carrier, 1200 miles and we would use them Allied Federal again.

The process went quite well, the estimate with Jeff the schedule with Beth, the packing and ultimately the move with Cory all the way to New York. I will use them again!

🚨 Do Not Hire: Damaged Furniture and Denied Claim after Paying for Insurance
We had a highly unsatisfactory moving experience with this company, particularly concerning the handling of furniture and subsequent claims process. Despite purchasing insurance intended to cover damages, the company is refusing to accept liability for a broken item.
Specifically, a $900 nursery recliner glider was damaged during the move. The recliner was confirmed to be in perfect working order, reclining minutes before it was packed. Following the delivery, it no longer functions as a recliner. The damage appears to be the result of heavy handling, which included furniture being dropped onto the ground.
During the unload, the lead mover acknowledged the need for repair, suggesting we simply submit the item for service. However, the company is now failing to take responsibility or initiate the necessary repairs.
Based on the breakage and the company's subsequent refusal to honor the insurance policy which we paid for and accept accountability for their damage, I strongly advise potential customers to choose a different moving service. Communication was also severely lacking throughout the process.
The scheduled move-out date was changed the day before with minimal notice.
Communication regarding delivery required constant follow-up on my part.
On the scheduled delivery day, the movers failed to show up and did not communicate the change of plans, requiring me to call them directly to discover they won't be delivering until the next day.
This is for an over 7k move.... So please go with a better company.

Professional, knowledgeable and compassionate. We had to move my elderly mother across the county. She had been in the same place for 30 years. Smooth from start to finish to finish.

I had a small but long-distance move, only furniture and pre-packed boxes. The movers were very polite and efficient. Most importantly, they were very respectful of the antique pieces and constantly on alert to treat them with extra care. Delivery with the same team was equally smooth and delightful. All around, an excellent experience!
The 4 stars, though, is because there was some damage that has yet to be addressed. The driver said Allied would get in touch with me about repairing the damaged pieces, but I ended up contacting my move coordinator since I hadn't heard anything after some days. She sent me a claim form which I filled out and returned 2 days later, but I have yet to hear any response on that. I still hope the claims process with be as smooth as the move was, but we'll see...

The move started of great. Federal, a subsidiary of Allied was communicative and helpful. The movers/packers came and the first day were polite, but the second day they were literally dumping our belongings in boxes when we weren't present, not marking any boxes and displayed zero care. No wrapping breakable things buried underneath books and unwrapped art packed flat at the bottom of boxes underneath heavy items. For some reason, they removed screws for the screen on the elliptical machine so it was dangling, I never found the screws and have no idea why they were even removed. The gentlemen who delivered our items were very kind and professional, but were unable to properly put our furniture back together because the parts box was missing. I found it later buried in the bottom of another completely unrelated box. None of the parts were labeled to indicate what they belonged to. I was also quoted and paid for a 7000 lb move, but only had 5000 lbs of things. I was told it would be adjusted to the actual weight. The cost was never acknowledged or refunded. We had a broken TV and several other losses. The move cost nearly $10,000 and was extremely disappointing and disheartening. I can't recommend Allied unfortunately.

Allied was an all around great experience. The movers were on time, packaged everything nicely and quickly for us. The shipping process for a long distance move was also easy. They gave us an expected delivery range of dates, but the day the came to pack and load, they knew exactly when the delivery would occur. We were unable to be home for the delivery and unloading from the start, but we were able to come towards the end. They had no issues with us not being there and were able to unload for us. Then, they gave us 2 hours to unbox as much as we could and they’d take the boxes with them, so we were able to unbox almost everything and not have to worry about the dozens of boxes!
We will definitely use Allied again. In addition to great service, the prices were some of the cheapest compared to the dozen other quotes I received.

These people have no idea how to be professional and to provide customer service. There was ineffective communication between the “co-ordinator” and the actual moving staff. The movers are day laborers, not employees of Allied. As such, they have no real training or accountability. Some didn’t show up. Some left without notice. Our entire move had to be rescheduled after they’d partially loaded. The second try went smoothly. Only a couple of things got minor damage. But one of the delivery workers didn’t seem to be able to read. Boxes are all over the place, even though I labeled EVERYTHING. My biggest complaint is that, when I asked what could be done to compensate us for the inconvenience, the extra trips between the old house and new house, three changes to delivery days and times without my input or consent…I was told, “Sometimes, things just happen.” Not even an apology! The truck driver was the only person who seemed to care whether or not we were getting good customer service. It was the worst moving experience of my life. And. As a military family, we have a LOT of experience.

To start loading the truck they were almost 2 hours late. They dinged a couple of wall and didn't tell me about it. It went to storage for a month, delivery date was May 9th and they showed up on the 8th, walk thru and closing day UGH. While in storage or on the ed truck my wife's antique cedar received significant water damage, so did the table leaf and several boxes. Our table which was only 2 years old was scuffed on the top. Our dryer had 2 dents on it plus scratches. Once again when unloading the truck they dinged several wall and corners of walls and tried to hide them. Would I use them again, Hell No!
