Extremely rude old woman working. No wonder they have trouble getting dogs adopted. I really hope they’re not paying her

The care these animals get is beyond. The volunteers are amazing. I currently am lucky enough to be fostering for this organization. Each cat/kitten is extremely well taken care of. The kennels are meticulously clean. Animals are healthy and ready to go to forever homes.

I just adopted two cats from this shelter. This was my first time here. What a wonderful place for animals to wait until they find their forever home.
Great service. You can tell the volunteers really love the animals. A much better adoption experience than one of the big animal rescue centers.
Looking to adopt a dog or cat check them out.

I was looking for a home for a stray, mother cat, and her six babies in Saint Joseph, Missouri and the Saint Joseph animal shelter was not able to help me. However, Parkville animal rescue gave me all kinds of information and help to get the mother cat and the babies taken care of. Thank you!

Lovely group of folks who truly care about the animals. Adopted a girl who is super sweet. She already drank water straight from the sink like my prior cats. Next step, get her and my current cat to co-exist.

I took a dog I found to FOPAS. Even though they were full, they made room for her. Plus, we were able to find her family!

I do belive the dogs were very well taken care of , but volunteering was a horrible experience, I was so surprised, now not everyone, but a good number of people in charge trated you like u were stupid, I was shocked, I felt so good about donating time, I was caught of guard, the few good people, tried to make up for the rudeness, I have for the last year, 2 days a week donate time at another no kill, everyone is there to help you and we all work together, it is extremely gratifying

Our family had a terrible experience with this shelter. We intended to bring the dog home with us the day we scheduled an appointment to meet him, but we’re told to wait 2 weeks due to his upper respiratory infection. We filled out the paperwork and paid the $150 fee. The only time window we were offered to pick him up after several unanswered emails was between 5-7am. They canceled the adoption at the 2-week mark and promised to refund our money, which we have not received after several days. Spare yourself and adopt elsewhere.
