The owners are very nice people, good location from where I live but be careful if you store a RV, the place has big water run offs, I bent one of my stabling jacks so bad I had to replace it.

Came to drop ppl off my truck. Debbie told me theg were closed to the public. I needed to do a walk around of the truck and get my copies of the paper work. I was told she was not coming outside and I had to drop paperwork thru the door. I understand the situation, but if you are open enough to let me pick up a truck, you should be open enough to close out account with me and give me my copy of the paper work. I dont recommend dropping your truck off to this location. Probably not a good idea to rent a storage unit from this location either. Business is business Act like it.Update: it doesnt matter. If you are open enough to take my money, you are open enough to do some simple paperwork so that i cant rest assured that im not going to be charged for things that are inaccurate.

Platte City Self-Storage has all around great customer service!! I happened to get a flat tire and pulled into their parking lot. Andrew was eager to help me out and without hesitation changed my tire and got me back on the road! While it’s not storage related, I absolutely recommend them to anyone simply because of their amazing employees! Thanks again, Andrew!

I would highly recommend this storage. The facility is very clean and convenient. I feel that my boat and belongings are secure at all times. Mostly I've been dealing with the owner and it has been great! She is helpful and friendly. Other staff I've spoke with have been great as well.

Called for information about unit sizes and prices, was asked what I wanted to store. No more than the words "large enough to store a car body" came out of my mouth, I got an earful of why they don't allow those. Her reasons were certainly valid, but she took the opportunity to vent a bit. Just a suggestion: Expand the website to include information about prices, unit sizes, and guidelines about permissible storage. That would eliminate (most) calls asking about topics that p*** off the staff when they are posed to them. That said, the facility was very clean and looked to be well maintained and secure.

I called 11 min before closing time. Spoke with Andrew, after explaining my situation to him he agreed to stay past close to make sure I was able to secure a unit.

My experience at Platte City Self-Storage (with the owner) was a positive one. My partner and I rented a truck (24 hour rental) to move my items from a storage unit into our new home. Pick up was quick and simple. Furthermore, the owner was very friendly. We had no issues upon returning the truck. The gas, mileage, and price was fair. I highly recommend dealing with the owner she was wonderful. We will rent from this location again, when we need to move from our current military location.
