Horrible! Was just up there for ear issues just 2 months ago and was sent away to with directions to purchase ear solution at a local pet store. Paid close to $350 for the visit to receive the advise along with a vaccination, and a flea/tick 1 month chewable I've been doctoring my dog's ears per instructions. One ear has swollen so badly I'm sure he has a hemotoma. He's battled allergies since he was a pup and they are aware. It's like they just got tired of dealing with my dog. Only way I'll ever deal with them again is to get his records. Idk if it's because they bought the new building and are paying up on it but they've went on s huge decline. And please don't reply with your number as I have already contacted via email with stating this along with pictures and questions about a possible plan to get this treated. No reply nothing! SAD EVERYTHING IS ABOUT MONEY WE KNOW THAT BUT DON'T MAKE IT SO OBVIOUS AND PRETEND TO ACTUALLY CARE FOR ANIMALS WELL BEING!

THANK YOU HILLCREST. Here from outta state. My boxer pup, Frankie, got in a fight with a wild animal. After calling Hicks and another Vet in town , I called Hillcrest. Darlene answered the phone. She could here the panic in my voice and told me too bring Frankie in. NO APPOINTMENT. They got to Frankie in a timely manner (they were busy). Frankie had too have a procedure done. Stitches, anesthetic, medicine and everything cost me less than $500. Being from Colorado, I was amazed at how CHEAP this vet was. I honestly would give this business a 10 if I could. If you need your pet taken care of and with someone who has a heart and live for all fur babies, this is your place.. Anytime I'm here and in need of a vet, Here is where I'll come.

We were visiting from South Florida over the holiday weekend and our dog, Max, was suffering from a potentially life threatening condition. After having been turned away by a different local vet who was too busy, we called Hillcrest. I explained what happened and my concern. Without hesitation, the receptionist said: "bring him in". When we arrived, they immediately made sure Max was comfortable, ran tests, and got him diagnosed - all without an appointment on a holiday weekend. Thank you Dr. Jones and the rest of the Hillcrest staff for taking our concerns seriously and treating Max like a regular. Thank God we were turned away from the first vet and we ended up at Hillcrest. If we lived in the area, without question, we would be loyal clients. For those who care about their animals, Hillcrest is for you.

I marked 4star well see after surgery on the 30th. change that to 5. Nice staff, friendly helpful. They have a couple of programs that can help you with expenses. My biggest worry, how am I going to pay for this? Problem solved. So far leaps and bounds on my dog's trip back to recovery, before surgery. Eyes and ears infections healed, gaining strength in her hind legs and weight. So you know this little dog, skin and bones. Way under weight for a German Shepard. Abandoned and neglected. Left behind a cyclone fence, no water or food. Broken teeth trying to chew her way out. I don't know what's wrong with People that would do this. She stands a pretty good chance of survival now because of this staff. A big thank you to Hillcrest for being there when I needed you the most.

I've been taking my 4 dogs here for the past 3 years. They've been pretty decent vet until I had to put down one of my furry best friends.I called ahead stating that I need to have her put down for her health issues. We arrived and sat in the lobby for 45 minutes. The vet called her the wrong name TWICE during the procedure. I then walked out emotional and upset because of the obvious. Hillcrest then harassed us by calling 2 times a day 4 days in a row for payment. We were out of town and not able to go up there immediately.Other places have you pay when you collect your pets ashes. Obviously payment was mot number 1 in my mind that day. But why the harassment? Or why not have me pay when I spent 45 minutes in the lobby? Either way this could have been handled differently and more professionally. This experience shows me what Hillcrest is really about. They're about $$$ ONLY. Not the pets, not the people, not about supporting the community -- they're about $$$. Which is very frustrating and sad.

Dr. Rachel Chall diagnosed our six month old puppy with elbow dysplasia and HOD. Although that wasn't the diagnosis we wanted to hear Dr. Chall was very knowledgeable, easy to understand and VERY patient with all of our questions. She even called us back on a Saturday to answer more questions. She didn't rush us and had very well thought out answers and solutions. Thank you Dr. Chall! You made a tough situation easier to manage. Hillcrest Animal Hospital and the Poplar Bluff area are lucky to have such a great Vetinarian.
