Just tried to pick up my Amazon package from this location with my phone/email. Left my wallet at home and was in a hurry. But the attitude on this women was trash. I just said ok I don't have time right now and started to leave she smirked and said yeah like she caught me in a lie. Amazon take them off the options for pickup and replace with more lockers I don't need the attitude.

I went here to pickup an Amazon package. I immediately was told I could NOT get my package. I asked to speak with a manager and was told that I am speaking to the owner. I provided my federally issued ID, she says she cannot help me and walks away. She tells me I need to go get a Driver's License with my current address on it because that is UPS policy. I pulled up said policy and reas it outloud to her. I ask why is she being so rude to me. I also tell her that her actions are very racist. This immediately passed her off. Now she will NOT help me. She wants an apology but refuses to give the respect she very rudely is demanding. Where is my apology?!

I had a package delivered there, and it was never given to me. After multiple attempts to contact them, I received no help. I believe my package was stolen or mishandled by staff. This level of negligence is unacceptable, and I would strongly advise others to avoid using this location for deliveries or services. I had a very disappointing experience at this business. As a person of color, I felt unwelcome from the moment I arrived. Peggy, who claims to be the owner, was dismissive and unprofessional, and her staff followed her lead. There was no effort to provide respectful or inclusive service. I left feeling disrespected and confused about how a business with such poor treatment of customers is still operating. I hope they take steps to improve their professionalism and treat all clients equally.

7.21: Forgot my ID to pick up packages and couldn’t get them which is fine and I understand the protocol. I accept that. The one star is because I rushed home to grab it and returned seconds BEFORE closing only to be told the registers were closed. So it seems they closed early. Also, it wasn’t my first negative experience here as I have been here multiple times before.
Update: Went today to pick up my package and was told by the owner, Peggy, not to come back because I posted a my review. I never raised my voice EVER during any interaction. Never said rude words. Was always business professional. Bold move IMO for the owner to react emotionally versus improving customer service but ok, heard. Wish granted and I will not return. I really should have listened to other reviews and chosen elsewhere anyway. Lesson learned.

Was referred to this store by Amazon because I needed to return a package to them (Amazon.) Per instructions from Amazon, I was to take the 2 items to UPS in the original package, show the employee the QR codes Amazon emailed me (one QR code per item), & UPS would handle the rest. The items being returned were two identical tshirts. They were sent to me with no tags whatsoever. The RUDE lady at the counter told me I needed to figure out which shirt needed to be scanned with which QR code and walked away from the counter. I checked both shirts for any identifiable code or tag and there was nothing for either shirt. There was a really nice male employee that eventually came over to attempt to assist me, while the RUDE lady (that I found out shortly after was the owner,) is mumbling smart comments under her breath, but loud enough for me to hear. If you must go to this store, my prayer is that anyone besides the RUDE lady is available to assist you.

I've read all the negative comments about the Raytown UPS Store and its staff, and frankly, I'm in disbelief. As a Black woman with deep roots in this country—my family lineage dating back to the 1800s—I've been doing business with this Postmaster and her staff for over four years. Not once have I experienced any of the racist behavior being alleged, nor have I witnessed it directed at other Black customers.
Until I see it for myself—or hear it directly from the Black business owner next door, who interacts with her regularly—I'm calling this what it looks like to me: baseless and misleading.

Worst customer service ever!!! I wouldn't ship a dog turd thru this store!!! Next time I'll take the extra 2 minutes of a drive to go where they actually treat you like a human. Avoid this location at all costs. They will try and upcharge for things not needed.

I usually don’t leave reviews like this, but I think it’s important feedback. My visit to this UPS Store was mostly fine, except for one part that stuck with me.
There was an older white woman helping to train a new employee, and while I appreciate how tough that can be, her customer service missed the mark. I came in fully prepared to return two Amazon items—my QR codes were ready to go. But when the scanner didn’t pick it up right away, I was told I needed to zoom in.
Totally fair. That’s not the issue.
What stood out was her tone, sharp, impatient, and dismissive. It made me feel like I was more of a problem than a customer. I get that she’s probably had to say the same thing many times, but do we, as customers, deserve to feel like an inconvenience? It’s not about what was said, it’s how it was said.
At the end of the day, people come back because of how they’re treated. A little patience goes a long way.

Today, June 3, 2025, I was in the making. in the UPS store making a return and at that moment the tornado alarms were set off and the person attending me told me to leave the store since she had to close and I think it is very bad because it is a threat to my life and that of another person who was also arriving in the town.

Terrible experience!! Just for needing to ship some boxes, crazy to even have a terrible experience. Old white lady that works there is beyond rude. Good Customer service is so hard to get these days.
Sounds like your store has a lot of negative reviews. I wasn’t rude to start with, I was defending myself cause that lady literally came around the corner and got in my face. Take a look at your cameras. Maybe you should learn to take responsibility for your employees. I’m a nice person, but she was just angry from the get go. Your store is trash and so is that lady. ✌🏾

Very disappointing experience at this UPS Store location.
I’ve had issues here twice and lost money both times due to the team’s lack of professionalism and customer care. The staff were rude and dismissive, which made the experience even worse.
It’s unfortunate that UPS allows just anyone to run a franchise—clearly, not everyone understands what good customer service means.
Based on this, I’ll be avoiding this location, and likely UPS as a whole, going forward.
