I switched from another bank in town and the service is great. My checks go through way faster than at my previous bank and I highly recommend using central bank in Republic.

The Central Bank of the Ozarks Republic Branch is by far one of the best banks around. They are always so helpful, willing to helpful and provide information requested. We have moved into a different town but I still call the Republic Branch for assistance because they truly do care.

Whether I use the drive-thru or go inside the girls behind the counter are always helpful and friendly. Lauren Burke is great. Because I paid cash for everything I had no credit. She set me up with a secured credit card. I now have established credit with a good credit score. Lauren made this possible for me.

The older lady, which I presume is the manager, was completely rude, dismissive and perhaps even had a condescending tone. I realize it was almost quitting time so I guess customer service and helpfulness had already went home for the day. I’ve banked at Central bank since before it was Central bank and even before it was Empire bank, but it may be time to find a new bank since my issue was of no concern to you. People, if you think a cashiers check is better than a check or if you think having the financial institution it was written on call and verify the funds to your bank (which were both in the same town) you would be wrong. And don’t expect an explanation because she won’t give you one. She can only repeat her policy over and over like talking to a machine. So thanks for costing me the car I was trying to purchase. I’m sure you’re super pleasant to work with on a daily basis! I’m sorry I didn’t catch your name so I’ll just call you Karen with Central bank in Republic, MO.

I’ve just recently had my card info stolen and had to get a new card mailed to me because I’m a college student and can’t drive to a branch that is three hours away just to get a card. I would now if they didn’t already mail it out two weeks ago. I’ve never had a bank take so long to mail a card to me and the fact that when I call there is nothing they can do but say “sorry we mailed the card we don’t know when it will come and we can’t fix your credit score from missing bills or help in any way” is very depressing. I don’t do auto payments for many reasons and the fact I can’t pay my bills now is extremely difficult. I have had no way to pay for anything for 2 weeks now and after calling customer service a second ago and getting the rudest person ever I am about done with Central Bank. Worst customer service. UPDATE: now taking a month for a new card because they didn’t switch the address (when I told them over the phone and they said they did) and my card got shipped to my old address that is now a rental property. Had to have a second card shipped out and couldn’t do overnight and told me to ask my family to help pay my bills.
