The branch manager Debra has horrible customer service. I explained I was closing my account due to bad experiences with GSB, instead of asking what happened and trying fix any problems she decided to start commenting on my looks. Asking if I look normal to the rep who she was assisting in processing the closing of the account. They ended up not closing my account making me come in AGAIN to make the same request. If you care about someone don't let them bank with GSB.

Worst great southern I have ever gone too. They stood on the other side of the counter and talked poorly about me and my husband. Making fun of what we were wearing. Like I couldn't hear them two feet away? It has been a horribly hard day, and we had 20mins to get up there before they closed. I get it, I looked a mess. But you dont have the right to make fun of me. I have used great southern for MANY years now. But this is the first time I've used the republic location. I won't use them again. Go here if you want to be treated like garbage! :)

First off they take forever for whatever reason. No idea. They dont have a convenient way of paying a loan payment over the phone with a debit card or let alone through drive. They insist that you give them a checking or routing number or come inside the bank! Theres no reason why they cant run the card just like anybody else would do by entering the card information. Im sorry not everybody can walk into the bank whenever they please!

Noone ever answers the phone, rings constantly and then goes to a call center FINALLY and usually it seems they cant even help you. Having to hound my band and track down someone to talk to about my account is in my opinion terrible customer service.

If your looking for a bank with terrible customer service and that charges you ridiculously expensive fees for things that should be free or covered with your online banking or a place that will turn your card off without telling you first and not having away of replacing it without ordering it through the mail (which took two weeks) then this is the place for you.

They have never once used my name after having an account for 9 years in Republic. They are rude and very unhelpful. They charge ridiculous fees also.
