“When does a car become more than just a vehicle meant to get you from point A to point B? When it evokes certain memories and/or emotions within you. For me, it's getting to see the smile on my children's faces whenever we take it for a ride. That having been said, at the end of the day it's still a car, and being from the Midwest it came as little surprise one evening when a pair of raccoons decided to run out in front of me. What did come as a surprise, however, was seeing the amount of damage that was caused by the one I wasn't able to avoid. It was extensive which was due largely in part to how low the vehicle sits to the ground. Once I had made sure the vehicle was safe to operate, I took a couple of pictures and after contacting my insurance company the next morning began the process of trying to find a collision repair center. I had heard good things about Walker Motors and they had solid reviews, so I decided to reach out to them. I didn't know it at the time, but this would turn out to be a very, very good decision. From the moment I first spoke with Bobbie @ Walker Motors I got the feeling that she wanted my business, which is always a positive feeling and a great way to start an otherwise arduous task. We arranged a time for me to bring the vehicle to them so they could take pictures of the damage and write up a preliminary estimate, which Bobbie then worked directly with my insurance provider to get approved. I feel this is where it really paid to go with a company that has as much experience and as good a reputation within the industry as Walker Motors, because their estimate was approved almost immediately. I was positive I was going to have to get multiple estimates, wait for an adjuster, go back and forth with them, etc. but much to my surprise none of that happened. In fact, the longest part of this whole process was the amount of time it took for me to get my vehicle back over to their shop so they could get started! Again, I kept in contact with them and Bobbie was very patient, polite and understanding. The total time for repairs was 10 days, which, given the circumstances along with the amount of things that needed to be addressed I feel was completely reasonable. The vehicle itself was flawless. The paint was a perfect match, the body lines were straight as an arrow, they even took the time to detail my car both inside and out. I couldn't be more satisfied with the way things went. Throughout the entire process, everyone I dealt with at Walker Motors was nothing short of fantastic to work with.
