On December 5, 2023 I came into the Central Bank located on Town Blvd to deposit a cash payment and to get a print off of my most recent transaction history. Stephen H. was the teller I worked with and he was very unpleasant. I told him initially I needed my most recent statement from 11/20/23 to today and then said “Sorry, I actually need a transaction history from 11/20/23 to today that shows my deposit I just made” he said ok and then proceeded to mess with some change he had on the counter not saying anything and then started doing stuff on the computer. He printed off my most recent statement and handed it to me saying “We aren’t in December yet so this is what we have for a statement”. I tried to inform him that I actually just needed the transaction history and before I could finish he snapped at me saying “I’m getting it!” He threw his hands up dramatically. This pissed me off because it was very VERY unprofessional. I work in a dental office and pride myself on good customer service and this was not it. I then asked to have someone else help me and he said “No, I’ll help you.” He then could not figure out how to print my transaction history and started shouting across the lobby to a women in her office about it. She seemed annoyed with him and told him not to shout and to come to her. She was very helpful and got me what I needed because he had no idea what he was doing. If you go to this branch, do not go to Stephen. I will not be using this branch anymore. I’ll gladly drive out of my way for a different location.

The Branch manager was very rude. She had no interest in helping with cancelation on a cashier check.

If you want your money misplaced or mishandled go to this branch! They failed to tell me all their branches are not connected and I waited in the drive through for almost an hour for them to deposit 2 checks just to not receive them in my account over a week later. When I called they were extremely unprofessional and they all have the attention span of a goldfish. They were even refusing to give me their names. They need to retain all their staff.

I opened a checking account and the process was simple, quick, and enjoyable. The individual who assisted me was very personable and went over all of the options that would promote my banking goals. Overall, it was a great experience!

Fraud department froze my account for no good reason. Their investigation is taking longer than necessary given that it's a two-month old account. The account had thousands of dollars sitting in it, which had cleared. One recent deposit was rejected. Somehow that justified them freezing my account? A representative over the phone told me someone had discussed the matter with me. That is untrue. I've actually gotten mixed details from two different representatives (e.g. my other account activities seemed suspicious somehow). The bank is the one being sketchy here. I've submitted complaints through CFPB and BBB.

Always great customer service. They will go the extra mile to make sure you get the help you need. Being a college student is hard enough as it is they always make sure to help my mom and I with urgent matters. I have been to several different branches and I’m always impressed with each one. The one in Saint Charles on New Town blvd is my favorite!

It costs $10 to cash a check from a business when you don’t have an account. That’s a lot when I cash checks all the time and they don’t charge me.

All of the staff and the people at this particular branch are so nice! My wife and I were really excited to be a part of this bank because it’s right around the corner from us and would make our life so much more convenient! Unfortunately the corporate end of this bank is quite heartless. Without getting into too much detail and turning this into a book, a small thing happened where they charged us a five dollar fee, it was of no fault of our own or the banks however we asked them if they would just waive that fee. Everyone at the branch wanted to but they had to turn it into corporate and corporate said no. I understand policy is policy, and frankly I don’t care about five dollars, it’s the principle of the issue to me. We are new customers, we have been with our old bank for over 20 years, and over those 20 years they fixed a few things for us. They didn’t have to but they did, and it made us feel like they valued us as customers. The only reason why we left our old bank was because we moved, but now I feel like I’d rather just drive an extra 40 miles out of the way just to have the feeling that our bank has our backs if there is a ever a problem. Like I said before- I know policy is policy, but you have to ask yourself if the major institution that handles your money doesn’t care about you enough over a five dollar issue, how will they be if you had a real problem. Central Bank uses what I call the Sears method of dealing with people. They are all so nice and there’s nothing they can do to help us because corporate said no and there’s no way to get a hold of corporate. I can’t contact them, and they can’t reason with them. For a bank that advertises being somewhat of a local entity they sure come across as a giant corporate cold machine.… Quite honestly if you really want to have good banking experiences, I recommend credit unions over banks. I’ve also been with my credit union for 30 years and I never had an issue with them. They don’t even charge you to have a checking account! You might ask why am I messing with these banks in the first place, it was just out of convenience, the brick and mortar building is close to where we live but I think First Community Credit Union has always been far superior and I should just only be dealing with them.

bad bank, will make u open with a deposit of 50 dollars. Than say they dont want you and close your account right away and keep your 50

Staff here is always willing to go the “the extra mile”. Victoria Pifer, the branch manager, has always been particularly helpful. Whether opening an account or providing notary service or assistance with a wire, she is always pleasant and extremely conscientious...two characteristics that I really appreciate in my personal banker.
