My only complaint is with the tipping system! If you use a card then you have to tip separately and the tip starts at 30%, THEN they hit you with a surcharge on top of the tip. They do have an option to change the tip amount BUT the stylist is standing there watching you enter the tip. Very uncomfortable. If you visit here make sure to hit the bank/ATM before you go or you get excess charges.

I would not recommend taking your child here if you are looking for someone with patience and kindness. I cannot speak for every stylist there but Connie specifically seems to have absolutely no tolerance or patience for children.

I recently took my 4-year-old son for a haircut at Fantastic Sam's, and the experience was far from fantastic. The stylist who attended to us, Connie, had shorter blue/purple hair. From the very beginning, her attitude was rude and unprofessional. She made unnecessary comments in a snarky tone, such as "I don't pick up kids, I learned my lesson," even though I had no intention of having her pick up my child.Throughout the haircut, she continued to be disrespectful to my son, giving him commands like "look up" and "look down" in a condescending manner. She soaked his hair with water and claimed that someone must have scared him because he was uncomfortable, when, in reality, he just doesn't like water in his face. Her comment, "It's hard to cut your hair when you're looking down," was completely unnecessary and displayed a lack of patience and understanding when dealing with kids.To make matters worse, she engaged in personal conversations with her coworkers about unrelated topics, using derogatory language like "that's stupid," while we were still her customers. This is not the kind of professionalism one would expect in a salon.Additionally, during the haircut, Connie told my mom to go get a brush off her desk, which was completely unprofessional and added to the overall unpleasant atmosphere. It was evident that Connie was unhappy in her job.Furthermore, she made insensitive remarks, like telling my son that he wouldn't have hair all over his face if he stopped moving. This kind of comment is not only unprofessional but also unkind, especially when dealing with young children.It's clear that her attitude and behavior made the entire experience uncomfortable and disappointing. I genuinely hope that the management addresses these issues, as a salon should be a place of comfort and satisfaction for both clients and staff.Service: Kids' cuts

I came in for a cut with Andrea and had a great experience. She gave me the best shampoo that almost put me to sleep, so relaxing! My haircut was exactly what I wanted and she made sure it looked great. I have always had a great experience with Fantastic Sams because the staff makes you feel like your hair needs are important. I also like the new online appointment scheduling system. Makes it very convenient to ensure I can get in. Will continue coming here.Service: Haircut

Would 100% recommend Andrea at this location. My middle schooler, after a dare, cut his bangs a week before school. He was crying and extremely upset when we walked in. Andrea was patient and understanding. She took the time to listen and talked him through everything she was doing to fix his hair while still keeping in mind the look he was going for. So thankful for this experience, my son walked out smiling after what could have been a disastrous Saturday. We will continue to go to her from here on out.

Connie is awesome and did an amazing job on my hair! She really took the time to help me figure out exactly what I wanted and executed it perfectly. She was also super fun and friendly. I will definitely be back to see her for my next hair adventure.

This is my first time and Fantastic Sam's is far from fantastic at all. I was quoted $75 on the phone for hair color but was charged $102. They charged me extra for long hair (3 inches below the shoulder) and they added more solution for my hair.But I barely see any color and it did not even cover my gray hair. :( What a waste of money.When I called for appointment, they said haircut is included with the hair color. They cut my hair, for probably a minute. It was worse than great clips.I will not come back here.

Went in scared to death because I hadn't had a haircut in over 7 years! But I met Becca and felt reassured and comforted by her knowledge, by her inspiration, and her dedication to making my experience and hair perfect! After a balayage done by a previous friend, Becca blended the colors with a partial foil and toner, and my hair came out wonderful. Perfect length and color. Exactly what I wanted and the price was even less than what I imagined. Excited to show off my new hair on my trip to New York City this week!

Came in for a haircut and dye. I even called before I came to make sure it was early enough in the day and they would have time. She seemed slightly annoyed and made sure I knew it was going to take 2 hours or more.. She told me to go ahead and come on up. When I got there, she refused to do the service I requested saying I needed a keratin treatment instead. I did not ask for your opinion. I am paying for a service not your opinion on what style and hair color would suit me best. I don't treat myself too often and this was something special I wanted to do for me and ended up leaving this place, after my keratin treatment, feeling lower than ever. There were comments made by the stylist about how long it would take so that's all it was. They didn't feel like doing something that took that long. This seems to be a common occurrence with this place. The day of my sister's wedding, the salon we had booked had a water pipe burst so they called us minutes before the appointment to cancel, I called fantastic sams frantically searching for a salon. The same woman told her no because she had someone else there for an appointment. Asked a bunch of questions like they were going to be able to accommodate her but then just said no they don't have time to do a simple updo. Worst salon. They always seem inconvenienced by their customers (or potential customers). Do not recommend.
