I absolutely love this place. I have had my cat and small dog there for shots and just recently for my dog's eye ulcer. Call and got an appointment and upon arrival felt the love.. Doc explained the course of action. He also said to call anytime if I had a problem.Thank you and your staff for being warm and welcoming to 2 new patients.

STAY AWAY, FAR FAR away. All of these reviews are misleading. My initial visit with my dog was mediocre. The entire clinic seemed to be helpful in trying to discover what was wrong with my elderly Beagle. She had previously been bit by a botfly and shortly after was unable to walk. I took her in to get examined but they had no clue what was wrong. From there they Willy Nilly prescribed my dog pain meds and antibiotics which I wasn’t opposed to. After my dog ran out of pain meds I called the clinic and asked if they did refills without another exam payment. They said they did but I would have to come in. The drive out is an hour away from me so I asked what my other options were. They directed me towards Chewy. I ordered the pain meds from Chewy and informed the vet they would be calling for approval. The vet clinic made me pay an additional fee to fill out the paperwork, don’t remember the exact price but I think it was like $30-$40 dollars. They told me the paperwork would be good for a year so I didn’t have to keep paying for refills. Cool no problem, gotta pay for someone to do the extra labor. Well shortly later my dog developed a UTI infection which has blood in her urine. When the last pain med ran out I went to order another script with Chewy along with some amoxicillin to help with the UTI. The clinic declined my entire order so I gave them a call to ask what was up. They told me that they can not approve the amoxicillin without being seen again but can approve the Previcox (pain meds). I began to ask a series of questions about the amoxicillin to get a better understanding of why they wouldn’t prescribe that one when the previously did. The girl (wish I remembered her name) began to get snarky with me on the phone telling me I was being rude and aggressive all for trying to understand if there was some kinda risk factor for the amoxicillin. Nonetheless, there was no explanation given so short answer, they just wanted more money. I explained to the girl that I was just trying to understand and she ended up hanging up on me but before she did, she did say they would approve the pain meds. I later contacted Chewy asking them to remove the amoxicillin and to resubmit the paperwork for the Previcox (the one that was approved). This went on back and fourth for weeks between Chewy, me, and the clinic before they refused to approve it and told Chewy they are no longer doing business with me. Completely wasting all of our time! In conclusion they stole my money for the paperwork I paid to have them fill out and decided phone games was the best move. My baby is still bleeding so I will have to get her checked out at a new clinic and start from scratch. I’m sure she will be okay and it’s probably a blessing in disguise to be done with these people. GOOD RIDDANCE!

I am furious. I took my dog here for vaccinations and specifically asked for them to give my dog the kennel cough vaccine bc we were planning to board our dog when we went out to town in a couple weeks. I watched the vet give him the vaccine but they didn't document it so when I went to board my dog on my way out of town, the kennel wouldn't take him and I had to go all the way to savannah to get another vaccine, making us terribly late leaving town.

Wish I could do 0 stars. They may seem great on the outside, but what goes on away from the owners is horrible.

Do not take your animals to this clinic!! They misdiagnosed 2 of our dogs which could have been prevented! Our dog was taken to the vet for coughing and was diagnosed with kennel cough and put on antibiotics. When instead he had DCM and passed away traumatically 3 days later. Now DCM is not preventable, but it would have given us a chance to be with him when he passed to let him pass peacefully not at home alone. We have also tried to get in touch with the veterinarian (the owner), and the vet that examined our dog and not once did he return a phone call or offer condolences for our loss. The same dog had surgery at this clinic a few months earlier, and when picked up no medication or wound care instructions were given. Nothing was discuses on what we needed to look for after surgery if your dog isn’t doing well, or what to expect the night after having surgery, no instructions for post care. Not one single person talk to my dad when picking up our dog. No details on how the procedure went or how he was doing after. We were just given the dog and pushed to the side. Well once they got our money. We also tried to get in touch with the vet for instructions, and once again we are still waiting for the phone call. The second dog was diagnosed with a “pulled back muscle” when taken for loss of regular function of her back legs. She was taken to a different vet when the problem did not subside from care instructions (steroids and rest). This vet recommended a specialist for wobblers which she is now being treated for. This also could have resulted in paralyzation or even death if not treated correctly. Not only have they caused our family heart ache and pain by not doing thorough examinations. The receptionist are rude! Every time I have called to make an appointment to have my dog be seen, I have either been hung up on or argued with. Which we have also tried to talk to the owner about and still have not received a phone call back regarding our issues.

I have been using them for about 5 years now and I won't go anywhere else. They have always been professional and kind and have always done everything they could to help my furbabies. Doc is wonderful. He is currently treating my husky for his diabetes and I couldn't be happier with the care Chief receives from him.

I’m very pleased with Savannah Veterinary Clinic! I switched my dogs from the vet in Saint Joe to Savannah’s vet and I’m so glad I did! They’re inexpensive, kind, professional, and they do an amazing job at providing the best care for my 2 little dogs. Both of my dogs have been spayed and neutered there with no complications and a quick surgery. I called at 1:30 to make my dog an appointment and they were able to get us in by 2:30. Take your dogs here, you won’t regret it!

Would not recommend!! They just want to push your pets out the door and not give them the care they need! My son lost his dog because they just pushed her out the door without the proper testing!
