Everything I was about to say has been said over and over in other reviews. I for one am offended by the excuses for the excessive meter fee. Add to that we now have a complex billing system that isn't consistent. We do have good service and fewer outage than Evergy however we are paying 40-45% more when you add it all up. This is not a co-op (run by its members) as it was at the start. It is only a co-op to keep it from being regulated as a monopoly. It is run by a board of directors just like any big utility that is regulated. The 1930's are long gone and they are not bringing electricity to the rural community. Time for it to be regulated just like any other utility monopoly.

United elec has got a great line crew. but the ones running the electric coop well could do better. I feel the coop is being lead by big power and not really a coop. Anymore the on peak and off peak hours you can use less electricity but your bill is still higher you cannot at this time do solar because there not allowing anymore on there power gride. But they got you because you can't shop for a power company you can only get what you get.

I have no issues with this company. We have had them since 1996 and never had an issue. During the ice storm we were out of power maybe 14 hours, while the rest of my family...on another provider... were out 6-10 days. Never had an issue, office staff is friendly, and service has always been great.

After replacing all the appliances in our new house after 5 years, they replaced the transformer and no more issue. There was no offer to replace my damaged appliances after that despite several conversations. Then we get this user access fee. ALL utilities are doing this. This keeps them in new up to date, safe equipment which I have no issue with. Replacing aging infrastructure is needed but at whose expense should that be? I am as energy efficient as possible, all LED lighting, high R value insulation and windows, all energy star appliances, and soon to be solar. Yet my bill only gets higher with time. Hopefully Solar fixes that cost for the future. I'll buy batteries next and get off the grid if need be.

Extremely high rates. Didn’t run my furnace for 2 weeks, my bill only dropped a small amount. There must be a huge variance in the measurement system of kWh. Going to measure it my self and run a some numbers in R and minitab. I will post the results on facebook with statistical analysis. The customer service is great, but I’m not paying for that.
