Seligman MO Post Office was just another standard office. The people here do a great job. First established in April 1872 the town was first name Herdsville. In 1880 after the railroad came into town it was renamed in honor of Joseph Seligman, a wealthy railroad financier, can't help but wonder if there was a reason for this. $$$$.

This post office is horrible. Ever since they took over the Washburn routes they are constantly messing up the mail. At least two times a week, I get someone else's mail. I used to put it back in the mailbox with a note, anymore I just throw it away. I am sure that is what is happening to my mail too. There has been at least four documents that I have had the sender resend so I could receive it. I currently have an important package that has stated it out for delivery for the last two days. And I write this at almost 5 pm, the letter that I have had in my mailbox since 6 am is still sitting there with the flag up. They need to clean house at that location as it appears to be a systemic issue. I have tried calling the post master four times today.

Friendly helpful staff. Only complaint I have is packages being “delivered” but not.. I had a package delivered to my house my gf, sons & brother was at the house but the package was never delivered. I checked the tracking and it said it was delivered and then picked up at the post office by “individual” at 13:01 which was odd because my gf never went up there and I was at work. Idk if someone is stealing the packages in the neighborhood, which is likely or somehow the post office is just losing packages.Unfortunately Seligman is known for being a meth town with a handful of good hard working honest individuals. All in all if you are having a package delivered hold it at the post office or be home if possible or use an alternative address.

The post master is very officiant and has amazing customer service. Their regular driver is a great gentleman.

Wonderful staff, very helpful. The hours are a bit wonky but that's not an issue if you remember what they are before leaving your house.
