On July 1, I embarked on 8700 mile road trip with my camper and family of six. On day two the camper tire sheared off - effectively ending the once in a lifetime trip. 1000 miles from home, Croft trailer took pity on me and got me safely on the road by 11 o’clock the next morning (13 hours later). Unbelievable service.
Every other shop in MO told me “tough luck”.
God bless! I am in your debt! Our trip was amazing and I am thankful beyond words. Wishing you nothing but success!

Warning to 5th wheel/camper Owners — Avoid Croft Trailer in Smithville
I really wanted to like this place. I trusted Croft Trailer with my 36’ dual-axle RV, hoping for peace of mind before a 3-month trip with my family of six. I asked them to inspect the suspension, repack the bearings, and do a general safety check. I explained everything clearly — I wasn’t asking for diagnostics, just straightforward maintenance.
But what followed was nothing short of neglect.
I got on their waiting list June 6th. Dropped off my trailer June 13th. Picked it up again — completely untouched — on June 30th.
From the start, it was a constant runaround. “We’ll call you tomorrow.” “We’ll have a quote soon.” But the calls never came. When I followed up, I started getting excuses like, “It’s too hot to walk outside and look at it.”
Meanwhile, my trailer sat there — unused, uninspected, and ignored. After they moved it in the lot, they left the power on and completely drained my batteries to 0%. No heads-up. No apology. No accountability.
When I finally went to pick it up — now just weeks before our trip — they admitted other customers were being prioritized and my trailer was being delayed because it was “too big” and parked outside.
Too big? It’s 36 feet — a pretty standard dual-axle travel trailer. Isn’t this your job?
Bottom line: If you have a larger trailer or need work done with any urgency, Croft isn’t the place. They left me scrambling and did absolutely nothing to help. You’re better off going literally anywhere else.

I worked with Croft for a hitch on my CRV. After an initial miscommunication Croft rep JS called me, explained our mix-up and quickly rectified the situation. They were friendly, prompt and attentive. The install went quick and was done well. I recommend Smithville Croft for your trailer and hitch needs. 5 star service!

I purchased a used boat up by Smithville today. On the way back I noticed the previous owner hadn't tightened the lug nuts and it wore the wheel studs and holes out to where the wheel was about to fall off on my way home. I was an hour away from home and running out of options. I pulled into Croft at 10 minutes till closing time. Both Jacob and another guy saved my day. They were both extremely helpful, stayed after hours and got me a new wheel, lugs and bolts installed. On top of that they got me back on the road in less than a half hour. Beyond appreciative.

Was in the market for a trailer and wanted to shop local. Arrived at the lot and was there for quite some time. Nobody came out to help. We decided to leave but I decided to open the door and ask for help. The large man behind the desk refused to even get out of his chair and help us. He literally had us go in. I bought elsewhere. The customer service sucked.

When I went to hook up a trailer to haul my late father's things across the country I was despairing to see that the electrical connections were not working.
I pulled into Croft and they squeezed me in right away to have it looked at, and comped the simple repair. They had me in and out in 15 minutes. It was a moment of kindness in a really freaking hard time and it meant the world to me.
Thank you.
I can't recommend patronizing this business enough.

Wrong hitch for trailer. Caused 5k damage to truck and 24k damage to trailer. Told me not their problem I just didn't know how to drive. Will not do any more business with them. Get your hitch where you bought your trailer. Not from Croft because they can't match correct hitch for your trailer.

They sold me the necessary spare part for the trailer and even helped me install it, although this is not a car service. Thank you!
