About Smithville Historical Museum and Inn
Smithville Historical Museum and Inn is a great place with history to stay. The host is an amazing and excited host who loves the local history and gives a great tour of the museum. The museum has many interesting pieces and very interesting history is presented. The home has beauty and the rooms are wonderfully decorated, cozy, nice remodeled, and clean. It is a unique stay. The back porch or deck is perfect for sitting and is enjoyable. No breakfast is served, but there is a working kitchen with ample supplies of kitchenware and a large fridge. It is quiet and highly recommended for anyone interested in the area's history.

6/28/2024. Maybe the most inviting and friendly caretakers of any place I’ve been! An interesting piece of history where you can learn more than just about the house but the town and state of MO! A great rate that beats regular hotels which directly funds the historical group itself

Frank makes an amazing stay even better. We will definitely return when we are in the area. The beauty of the home and knowledge that Frank has of the history of Smithville is just perfect.
