Clean rooms, courteous staff, and everything worked great. Couldn't ask for more on a road trip!

There was dirty underwear in the bed, just to name one of the things about this place.

I’ve stayed here multiple times and the woman who works the desk sometimes is AWFUL, incredibly rude and has made me consider not staying again, but the man who I see the most working the desk is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are comfortable and it’s been quiet during all my stays. The woman at the desk is my only complaint really because she has been confrontational with me multiple times, and I’m not sure why she’s always so angry. Other than that pretty good place to stay. Love the man who I’m pretty sure owns the place.

Terrible bed, dirty floors, mirrors couldn't even see in from the horrible cleaner they used. Bedroom window left wide open. Dead bugs in the window sill. Caulking falling off the windows. Holes in the curtains. Half used shampoo, lotion, soap bottles. Well I managed to get some rest on the super hard bed bc I was too tired to care lol ? Only stayed here bc it was closest place to the event. Front desk guys were very kind. He did mention they are trying to do updates. But definitely not worth the $80. They also charge $50 room fee at check in and give it back the next day if your room checks out ok. But the room isn't worthy and clean to begin with unfortunately. So how could they tell lol ?Don't waste your money, stay at an ARBNB house near by if you can.

Keep driving don't stop. One half of hotel is run down . some weird problems with power to rooms. Don't turn off the lights or nothing will charge over night creepy sounds. Tv in room never worked. Strange orders like mold under bldg. Staff watching all the time . Didn't sleep at all. Felt like someone or something was watching me. Ran like hell in the morning . No refund. Wow. You should shut down this location before.. Someone is injured from the smell under bldg. Smells like dead people. Run . Run. Run. Look and run.Safety: Close it down. Human hazard. Run like hell. Don't look back. Bugs and noise management.

I paid for a month $810 pluse a $200 deposit. I was there for a week and had a family emergency in Oklahoma. They wouldn't just charge me for a week then give me the remainder but decided to keep it all that's over $500 then salad for The owners info I was told it was none of my business I'm not letting this go over 500Noteworthy details: No shower curtain and the bathroom ceiling had mold in it and my feet turned black after walking bare foot in the room

It's an absolute shame this hotel is so ran down, especially since it's in such a beautiful town. The floors hadn't been mopped, all of our feet turned black waking on the floor barefoot. The bed was broken and had to be repaired, the breakfast offered was so old.. it was stale. The hotel overall looked like it belonged in the ghetto. Horrible experience, I will never go back. Don't waste your money.

The owner was a bit rude with me on the phone, but once we arrived he was friendly and the stay was just fine. Certainly nothing luxurious, but excellent for the price. AC was nice and cold, plenty of hot water, and clean.

Nice, quiet hotel on the outskirts of Kansas City. Me and my buddy each got a room, as we made a whirlwind trip to KC to catch an away Twins game. The room was equipped with a microwave, mini fridge and a nice TV.

Stayed two nights, big mistake. Woman at front desk was very helpful. The hallways had a funny order. The windows were filthy inside and out, floors hadn’t been mopped in a very long time. Almost all the electrical outlets were broken you couldn’t plug anything in because it just fell out, had to unplug the fridge to charge phones. Then to top things off left one morning came back late evening and someone had taken a healthy dump in the toilet and did not flush. GROSS????. Had to ask for toilet paper twice and clean towels once.Only good thing beds were very comfortable.

The Super 8 looks very run down from the outside. It definitely needs a lot of work. The room had no cover on the light/fan in the bathroom. The floor was dirty. The sheets on the bed had a hole on the side. The breakfast was ok. I watched the lady wipe everything down, but there was no disinfectant or soap used. I wonder if Smithfield has code violations because this Super 8 has a lot!

The place was basically clean at first look, and the AC worked pretty well, but those are the only good things I can say.I chose this because we were attending a wedding across the street in Smithville and my wife was doing the bride's hair/makeup in the morning before the wedding. This is basically the ONLY place to stay in Smithville. Do yourself a favor. Stay somewhere else and drive in.We arrived at about 9:30 pm Friday evening but there was no one at the front desk. A sign said, "Dial 0 and keep waiting, don't hang up". Eventually, it stopped ringing, so I waited a little longer, then hung up and dialed "0" again. After a few minutes, a woman finally came out and checked us in. She was personable, but it took longer than I expected to get checked in (the room was booked ahead of time and already paid for).Once in the room, it was a dump. It was a nonsmoking room, but it smelled strongly of mildew and smoke. When I asked about it at the front desk, the lady just shrugged. I don't know how old the pictures are on the Internet, but the room didn't look anything like them. One double bed and a small refrigerator (still had someone's food in it) in a dilapidated room. The headboard for a second double bed was still on the wall. There was no place to sit other than on the bed. The place is definitely due for a total refurbish, but is obviously being run on a very tight budget.I think the owner/manager should stay in each room occasionally to see what the customer experience is like. He could also try to be a little friendlier. He was cordial (just barely), but not friendly at all. Never smiled, and was curt and sounded irritated/annoyed on the telephone, and in person. This probably accounts for why they he can't get any help other than his wife (they had a "help wanted: sign on the curb. The toilet in the room didn't flush properly (I had to go to a nearby QuikTrip to use the restroom). No aerator on the sink, so it sprayed water everywhere. Extremely uncomfortable mattress. The shower was functional but not good.To add insult to injury, we needed a little extra time in the room past the normal checkout time (to change for a wedding across the street - my wife was doing the hair and makeup for the bride and wanted to be able to come back to wash up and change for the wedding), but the manager/owner was unwilling to help. I had even called him ahead of time to inquire about it before I secured the reservation and he told me to "wait and see what we can do when you get here. Ask at the front desk." No dice. He was banging on the door and saying "You need to leave" even though he still had over half the rooms in the place still to clean. We ended up going to the nearby Quiktrip and changing in the restrooms there.Overall, it was a very negative experience, further amplified by the fantastic positive experience we had the next night at the Home2 Suites in Leavenworth, KS - which felt like a palace after this experience, AND cost me EXACTLY the same amount.Rooms: I now wish I had taken a couple photos of the room as it was. I don't know how old the pictures are on the Internet, but the room didn't look anything like them. One double bed and a small refrigerator (still had someone's food in it) in a dilapidated room. The headboard for a second double bed was still on the wall. There was no place to sit other than the bed. It was a nonsmoking room, but it smelled strongly of mildew and smoke. The place is definitely due for a total refurbish, but is obviously being run on a very tight budget.

They over charged by 50 bucks, I how people check their accounts, especially when you ask for a printed receipt and they say the printer is glitching make sure to check your statements, we just added an hour to our drive time to go back and get it straightened out. Not happy? and we stayed 2 nights with no room service at all not even clean towels!
