I am a returning customer and called to schedule my yearly exam and to start contacts. Over the phone I asked the gentleman if I could give him my insurance info to get it into their system ahead of time. He told me no, they'll just do it upon arrival because they take most insurances and it only takes a few moments. Upon arrival, they couldnt find my insurance in their system at all so I had to cancel my appointment that I booked 2 weeks ahead of time. I called elsewhere and they were able to answer my insurance question immediately over the phone but now I have to wait an additional 2 weeks to be seen. Very disappointed in the waste of time where I now am waiting over a month to be seen when it could've have been easily avoided if he had allowed me to tell him the insurance provider over the phone like I had asked. The only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because the girl at the front desk was very nice and professional.

Always a great experience at Americas Best in Springfield! I’ve been coming here for about 10 years. My glasses are always ready before the date I’m given, the team always works to make sure I’m getting the best deal possible.

The first time we went, my son received glasses and contacts. The person in charge of teaching him to us the contacts was hateful and rude. We ended up walking out. Still yet, my daughter had her appointment Rescheduled 3 times. They then lost our appointment and Were late getting us in. Not going back ever.

Everyone at this office is always so patient, helpful and kind. I am always able to get in right away for questions or appointments and they always do their best to make sure everything g is just right. I am a repeat customer and would recommend America’s Best to my friends and Family!

I'll absolutely be going back and recommending America's Best to everyone! The whole staff was awesome, Jacob rocked and made me feel very comfortable and welcome, and I love that you all carved pumpkins for Halloween! Thank you for a great experience, great vibe, absolutely recommend.

I'd love to give a good rating and experience however, they have rescheduled our appt out 2x now. Both times on a Saturday and the doctor had an "emergency". I rearranged 2 weekends to be at these appts. Unless you have time to waste, don't bother here!

Extremely disappointed.I am a returning customer who came back because of the amazing experience I had two years ago, but on this visit the staff managed to lose me as a customer permanently.My partner and I both came and had appointments and paid for two pair of eyeglasses each. Due to special lenses, our total was $918.Came to pick up the glasses today, and was greeted by a very friendly optometry technician; I didn’t catch his name but he was wearing glasses and had a tidy short beard. Excellent service and demeanor.For some reason, someone named Kaitlyn told him to move in a somewhat rude way. I’m not sure why; he was doing a great job.The area of corrected lenses in my progressive lenses seemed extremely narrow, basically like just a sliver of correction in the middle with non-corrected zones on either side. The issue is that I paid for a much wider corrected area, which was not an inexpensive upgrade. I pointed this out and Kaitlyn said “Well I didn’t make the glasses” to which I replied “yes but your store sold me the glasses and I don’t feel like the supporting material represents what I actually paid for”.Kaitlyn asked whether I wanted to have the glasses corrected or refunded, and implied that I would have to pay more to get a wider corrected area of the lens, but I again explained that I already paid for a wider area and this clearly wasn’t an honest representation of what I paid for.It felt like every comment or interaction with this employee was just downright rude. My partner felt the same. I decided to go ahead and ask for a refund, not because I didn’t want the issue fixed, but because I refuse to give money to a business that is going to tolerate this sort of behavior from an employee.When she went to process the refund, she said “$288 will go back on your card” to which I said “no, we paid $918 total and my glasses were slightly more costly than my partner’s”.She said “I’m fixing it” in such a curt way that I couldn’t believe this was actually how we were being treated. She finally refunded the correct amount which was $460.We left the store and barely made it to the car before my partner and I decided that she also wanted a refund because of the blatant disrespectful tone and total lack of customer service from this employee. We went back in and got a full refund for her glasses as well.I confirmed the employees name before we left and let Kaitlyn know that we would make sure to mention her name in our Google review. She sarcastically thanked us. There was nothing resembling an attempt to retain our business, or to correct her insufferable demeanor.I would have been happy to work with the store to get glasses that satisfied me, and had the original employee who was helping us been allowed to continue to help us rather than being rudely told to “move”, that is likely what would have happened.Instead, your store lost our $918 on this visit and has lost my future business.

First time going and it was amazing! They let me take my time picking our frames and did an awesome job explaining every detail! Dr Katz is super nice and the team is amazing!

What a pain dealing with these people at this location. I have always loved America's Best until I visited this store. I travel for work and I was told they could mail my glasses to where I would be, so I paid nearly $300 for a pair of Beautiful glasses and I gave them the address of where to mail them and they said they would send them out the next day. I let 4 days pass and called them for a follow up, they said oh no we haven't mailed them but they'll be going out today to Washington, address was verified and everything. So I said okay, I let a week go by and still nothing so I called yet again and apparently my glasses were mailed to my home address and I wasn't going to be there in over a month, now that I have them they don't even fit, they've been adjusted as much as they could be and are still too big. Luckily they one in Harlingen TX has been able to help me out with a courtesy exchange. I wish I had never waisted my time there. I'm still disappointed because I still don't have my new glasses and still have to wait.

1. Scheduled an appointment with a digital doctor- weird.2. Went to appointment , and gave them insurance information. Superior Vision by MetLife ( even says so on the card)3. Appointment started , Jacob was VERY. Knowledgeable and you can tell he loves his job! ( best part) . Had additional test, which was fine because it was explained to me very well.4. Appointment with the doc via zoom was good5. Went to check out- here was the start of the problem.6. After they finally found me for my insurance , I was charged 50 dollars. That did not make sense but I paid .7. When I have been here and other eye doctors, they give me 2 boxes of contacts and solution. No follow up.8. I was given a trial pair and told to come back 2 weeks for a check up . Why??9. Made the appointment then went back to my car to look at my benefits.10. With my vision insurance , my eye exam is 10 dollars and my contact fitting exam is 25. I was not sure where they were getting 50 from.11. I went back to talk to the manager, to see if I miss understood something . He looked at everything, and got the same number as I did. He refunded the entire cost with out any explanation then I left. He could have just have me repay thr 35 then and there . That would have been fine. But no.12. I tried out the contacts and they were great! No issues!13. Got a text message that my contacts were ready. I was told that I could not have contacts until I had my follow up. So I went to Americas best .14. So when I got there, they needed my insurance info, again. Same exact info again. Superior by MetLife.15. Spoke with the manager again. He said that I said my insurance was MetLife. I said no, it’s superior by MetLife. He looked at the information again and said yeah I only got 35 not 50, someone must have inputted the information wrong. Then he said Card? I said, for what? He said that we have to get the eye exam paid for . I’m like okay, why couldn’t we do this before? Nothing ..16. I told him about the text message saying my contacts were ready , he said did you not get a contacts that were attached to this paper? I said yes, but it was a trial pair. I already had a trial pair.. and my follow up was the next day. He was like oh. I know nothing about the text message. I’m like okay.17. I was frustrated in how things changed there and I have been a past customer before. I have never had to come back for another contact fitting to confirm my perscription .18. I called the office to cancel my appointment . They said let’s get you rescheduled. I said no, I am not coming back. The experience was aweful and it was a waste of time. The receptionist said you can’t be confirmed in that prescription. After back and forth bickering , I said I am not coming back . She said I was just trying to help you . No, she was trying to help herself .My appointment was canceled.I went to check the Better Business Bureau website regarding Americas best and there were Fs across the board .however I guess they are not accredited by the BBB.

The Optometrist was awesome, the exam went well and the store was clean. The only reason i say 3 stars is I've been waiting 2 weeks for the glasses I purchased. I've called several times and different members of the staff seem to have different reasons as to why the wait. Trying to be patient, but if you need new glasses in a timely manner I would suggest using a different business.

I have tried going to them for the past 3 years because I didn't have insurance and they talked me into their program. Every single time I have gone in they cause unnecessary problems. They are rude and condescending. I can't believe how incompetent this business is. I wish i would have read reviews and went somewhere else. Don't make the same mistake. They will over charge you. Mess up your eyes and then make it your fault. Beware.
