I lived at aspen for 2 years and I had a great experience! The workers there are so nice and helpful. It is so close to campus and downtown too. Highly recommend living here!

Location is good. Apartment is ok. My daughters had wasp issues that were never fixed. They had to cover all bedroom vents with paper to keep wasps from coming in. They clean the floors repeatedly and they would still turn their socks black. Management is abysmal. My daughter moved out early. She was finishing things up on a Saturday in the leasing office and told one of the office workers she needed to go in the apartment and get the pool passes. She would be right back. While she was gone they locked the office and left. She waited 20 minutes for them to come back and they never did. I paid the lease in full and today I get a 60 day eviction notice. I’ve called five times today and have been disconnected each time. Horrible experience run by unprofessional people.

The apartment itself is fine. The furniture is adequate, the appliances are nice, the wifi is garbage but functional, and maintenance will get to you quickly as long as it's a weekday.
My problem comes down to Aspen management and how they've handled our roommate situation. My best friend and I share a four-person room with two other girls, one of whom has been a nightmare since the beginning. She leaves trash all over, leaves our front door open and unlocked at all hours of the day, and starts petty drama for her own entertainment. There are constantly people in our apartment that we don't know. Do you know how terrifying it is to be sitting on your couch in your pajamas at 11 pm and a grown man lets himself into your apartment with a key? We took this up with management to try and find a solution for us and our cats, but we were told that there's nothing they can do. So we are stuck in this lease because it costs hundreds of dollars to break your lease AND you have to find someone to take over for you. It's a miserable situation I wouldn't recommend to anyone.
Edit for Aspen's response: Y'all didn't look very hard for a solution, you told us that we could split up and each pay 200 dollars for the transfer even though it isn't our fault we need it in the first place. You either ignore our complaints or tell us you can't do anything about actual safety concerns because "everyone is entitled to their lease". Pretty sure I'm entitled to live without trash and old food all over the apartment I pay nearly 700 dollars a month for. Ridiculous.

II can never get a parking spot, there's no way to deal with the many people that always kick my trashcan, something is always wrong with the exit doors, and finally the cherry on top, it was only when I was given the apartment assigned to me that I learned that the only view both my bedroom window and patio have is of the building dumpster and astroturf for taking your dog out to relieve itself. For this alone, my cost of rent should be adjusted. Who would ever want to use their patio if the first thing they smelled was garbage as soon as they opened their patio door?

The space is nice, and the rooms are a good size along with the amenities. But, the living experience here at Aspen has not been great. From serious issues with roommates and safety concerns, I seriously considered breaking my lease and moving. The denial and ignorance of illegal & unsafe activities has put me in an uncomfortable situation. The poor living conditions due to roommate's not respecting the communal space has created an unhealthy and gross environment that has already led to grave health issues.

I have lived at Aspen Springfield for over a year and have signed a lease for next year because I have everything I need here. The rooms are great and the location is very convenient. The staff and maintenance are all wonderful and if any problems arise they are fixed quickly. This is a great place to live if you are a student!

Great apartment complex. Nice apartments, very up to date, fully furnished, great security, very kind staff, great amenities, maintenance crew always is very prompt and keeps the whole complex functioning, and there are lots of great events hosted. If you are looking for a great apartment for student living, Aspen is it!

Went here to look at Aspen. Cool place, horrible at responding to emails. Fix the locking gates. Check the windows on the first floor by the computers . I found 2 windows unlocked with no screens, which lends me to question the safety of our kids. Please work on your communications and responses.

I’ve lived here for the past 2 years and have absolutely loved it! There’s covered parking and every amenity you could think of, my two favorites being the pool and tanning bed. My favorite thing about Aspen is how friendly both the office staff and maintenance are. The maintenance team is always professional and fast when you put in a request and they’re happy to help. I’d definitely recommend living here & will miss it so much post graduation.

I love the events that Aspen puts on, and the staff is always helpful (especially with the tanning booth). The maintenance is usually quick to respond. Our sink was clogged and the maintenance man was able to help us that same day!

Not secure at all, almost every gate is broken. They don't have enough parking for everyone, and if you want good parking you have to pay 40 extra dollars a month for it. Way to expensive for how gross everything is.
