First time working with CarMax and we had a great experience! They gave me a great deal on my trade in. They made sure the vehicle we purchased was in top condition. Everyone in the office was very knowledgeable and professional and this is the fastest I have ever been in and out of a dealership. Would highly recommend this CarMax!

I have not purchased a car here yet! But I was very impressed and this will be one of my first places to look for a new car for our daughter. You can walk in and go look at whatever you want. Everything is unlocked and has the prices on the vehicles and they do not haggle with you whatsoever.

This was the first time I bought a car here. I don't think I will ever go through a dealership again. All the staff we worked with were super friendly & knowledgeable. There was no pressure. Everything step was easy and explained thoroughly. Love my new to me SUV!

I have waited a couple of weeks to write this review. Having once purchased a car from CarMax, I had a fairly positive view of them. So, when I needed to sell my elderly mother's used car I decided to contact them. Nice web experience, and a generous online offer for the car. I called their 1-800 number and asked their Customer Service Rep about what documentation I would need to bring. They said, a title signed by your Mom, a current registration and, "Document number xxxx from your state signed by your Mom. I did as they asked and gathered all those documents. No easy task! Took me about a week. Next I drove the car an hour away to their facility. That's when it all went South. First - they didn't even look at the car so it had nothing to do with that. Then they started making every excuse they could: "These aren't the right documents", "Your Mother shouldn't have signed the Title", and, "Yeah we've had a lot of problems with our Customer Service Reps giving the wrong information". Bottom line: I left without selling them the car, then later they contacted me and offered a LOT less than their original offer. So, I sold the car today for very near what CarMax had originally offered and will NEVER do business with them again. There's a lot more, but I don't want to get personal. Suffice it to say, CarMax should really be more careful with their hiring practices and stop 'script training' their people. Overall a HORRIBLE experience.

Sold our Hyundai here. Offer matched exactly what was quoted online to my surprise so that was awesome. Ryan took really great care of us from greeting us at the front door to getting our car appraised to eventually selling it. Great place!

I loved the ease of working with CarMax, in and out in a short amount of time. I didn't give 5 stars because of the quote given and the expiration date. I saw that my quote was good until Monday the 19th of June. I was trying to book my timing to bring the car in and it reduced my amount by $400. Just because I clicked the wrong button. Seems like a glitch on your end, that I lost out on mine.

Sold my Hyundai to CarMax yesterday. It was a really easy process and Andrew made it seamless.The store is always clean and the staff is friendly. I am nor a person who likes to haggle. We really appreciate how upfront they are with everything. Buying a vehicle from them as well.Great experience selling our old vehicle to CarMax!

I wanted to sell my car instead of letting a dealership offer me less on my car which was only two years old and in tip top condition.CarMax offered me an excellent price to buy my car.The salesman was friendly, professional and efficient. I was only there an hour. In and out.Will use CarMax again.

This was our first CarMax experience. We paid shipping for a Kia Sedona to come from Mobile, AL to Spfld, MO. After over 2 weeks of waiting, and multiple attempts at contact to find out when the vehicle would be ready to see, we finally visited the vehicle in person. We had dual appraisal and test drive appointments.Interior and exterior had not been detailed at all. We could see the exterior had been "washed" but it looked more like a garden hose job as dirt and dust was still evident in midline streaks all around the vehicle. The inner frame where doors open and close also had dirt on it so our family got dirty getting in and out. We could not open the the back hatch to inspect the cargo area and lay down 3rd row seats due to the vehicle being parked so close to the parking pole.Upon inspecting underneath we saw the van possibly had a slow oil leak or oil was spilled when doing the oil change but we saw no signs of a spill under the hood, leading us to believe it was indeed a proper oil leak. This should have been found and corrected properly before it was available to customers.An oil leak is a huge deal in our book and detailing is standard, even in the used car industry.Tires were old and should have been replaced with something that had at least half tread left. My family also noted many scratches on the exterior. Two were deep and could have been filled.Test drive was fine but the obvious lack of care for the vehicle overshadowed everything else and only one adult drove. At that point, it was just a comparison test since we knew were were moving on yet had not driven a Sedona up to that point, and we knew we would not be making a purchase due to possible mechanical issues.For the price point, we expected better. For the positive reputation CarMax seems to have garnered, we expected better.Washing, drying & detailing and proper mechanical review is basic care. Making certain customers can enter & exit a vehicle without getting dirt on their clothing is non negotiable. Ensuring the vehicle can be opened and inspected from all angles is paramount.CarMax had a golden opportunity with us and they missed the mark.Overall, our first experience with CarMax was disappointing. We certainly are not eager to do it again and have shared with our family and friends our poor experience.The one bright spot was the salesman or customer specialist. He was courteous and kind. He took time to speak with with each family member, pulled out chairs for us, engaged in proper small talk that felt natural and was down to earth. He didn't push and we left feeling sorry for him with so much personal potential wasted working at CarMax.It is not his fault the company is not concerned about quality vehicle care.

This establishment was clean. Cleanliness is a major for me. The service rep was friendly and accomodative. The atmosphere was very relaxing. We were able to purchase the vehicle we wanted. Additionally, the service representative helped thoroughly with the financing options.

I sold my recently deceased wife's car of CarMax. I am 80 years old and almost completely deaf. I don't communicate with the public very well and didn't want to go through the trouble of trying to sell it to an individual.Selling the car to CarMax was fast, and painless, plus I felt they gave me a fair price for it!

It was very pleasant and fast. I love my vehicle and Preston was awesome!! I just received my refund because the vehicle was missing a feature. So completely satisfied. This is my second vehicle through Carmax and I love it!!

We can not say enough good things about CarMax, Springfield, MO. From the moment you drive into the very clean parking area and walk through the main doors and into super clean main area you know this is a FIRST class place. You are greeted warmly and quickly assigned an employee to help you look for a vehicle and/or appraise your vehicle. We chose to buy from another provider and to sell our vehicle to CarMax. This is second time we sold to CarMax. They are very, very professional. We are well pleased.
