Clean, well lit, lots of OTC things others don't have. Use the pharmacy for pick up & delivery.

Unfortunately, my insurance required me to use CVS in 2023 or else they wouldn’t cover my meds. I don’t live in Springfield so it’s a bit of a drive. I drove in yesterday evening at around 5:40pm to pick up a prescription. I went to hand the guy at the window my savings card to add it, and he said he couldn’t do it unless I came inside, and that it would take 10-15 minutes. There are only 5 sets of pretty short numbers on the card. Walmart can usually add these cards within a couple of minutes.
I also have added another savings card, in the drive-thru, for another med, and it only took a few minutes.
I was in a hurry and honestly just annoyed, so I declined to go inside and said I’d try tomorrow.
I called today at 11:40 am to see if they could add it over the phone.
It took around 18 minutes for someone to pick up.
When they did pick up, she also refused to add the card because it would be “too confusing and take too long.”
I asked her if I needed to come inside and she said no, it can be done in the drive-thru.
I told her I tried that last night and was refused.
She just kept trying to end the conversation before we actually agreed on anything. I finally said “so you just straight up CANNOT do it?” She then told me, reluctantly and with attitude, that if I was willing to wait on hold while she helped the 7 people who did come into the store, she could try but she really couldn’t stay on the phone.
I’d like the point out that in the time this conversation took place, I could have given her all the card info.
I ended up asking her to send the script back so I could have it filled elsewhere (which another pharmacy associate at the same location has done for me before), and she told me no, I’d have to call the other pharmacy and do a transfer.
My new prescription benefit no longer requires me to use CVS, and I am so unbelievably relieved. Refusing to assist people who NEED MEDICATION for ACTUAL HEALTH PROBLEMS because your company refuses to provide the necessary benefits required to hire and keep staffing at a sufficient level is pathetic.
CVS Health gross profit for the twelve months ending September 30, 2023 was $136.402B, a 10.28% increase year-over-year.
How is that not enough to fund the hiring and retention of employees?
You can pay your CEO a $22 million dollar salary, $2,975,000 was received as a bonus… yet you can’t staff your stores.
Why is the staffing even an issue?
Healthcare patients already deal with multiple doctors, dozens of prescriptions, their health insurance, and their pharmacy benefits. Getting the runaround from the pharmacy for easily preventable issues on top of all the time patients spend keeping their care organized is some bs.
Update: I ended up trying to go pick up my medication, and they had sent it back… the same day they told me they couldn’t send it back. I’ve been unable to get it filled now, because my new insurance is requiring another prior auth - and my dr is out of the country.

I don’t understand how CVS is still in business. Pharmacy doesn’t take Cox health insurance. It’s the largest hospital in the area.
The store is always empty. The prices are ridiculous. I hate this place.

The pharmacy at this location has always been very helpful and friendly. I have the majority of my medications delivered. It is rare to have to wait for a long period of time to pickup my medication at this location. I have been very pleased with the service I have received here.

Worst pharmacy I have ever been too in my life. The most unprofessional work ethic I’ve ever seen. Never in my life have I seen a pharmacy not order enough of someone’s medication and then on the day they are supposed to get the rest filled they decide they aren’t gonna open today. Even though my own doctors office called to confirm I’d be getting the rest of my medication TODAY on Saturday and they say “yes it’ll be ready on Saturday” THEY AREN’T EVEN OPEN. Worst pharmacy in this town. Pathetic!!!

Pharmacy is so under staffed, they are typically 4 to 5 days behind on filling prescriptions

Excellent staff. Only had two people working. CVS needs to do a better job of helping them from being understaffed. You’ll lose two very good people that are currently there if you don’t get them help.

This would be a good place to put a REAL pharmacy. Horrendous customer service!! Drive up window open on a "day to day" basis. I'm quoting your staff who, by the way, couldn't give a s*** less about your customers. Worst answering machine on the planet. Over 8 minutes wait to ask a question! Two, that's right TWO employees on a Saturday morning. Customers complaining in an unnecessary line. What a joke! Walgreens is at the next light. You should know by heart the LONG list of successfull drug stores that have gone belly up. CVS is doing all they can to drive your company off the cliff into bankruptcy. Here's a revelation for you. The CUSTOMER signs your paycheck. You don't deserve to be in business. A brush ape organization like CVS won't listen. Happy trails!!

Went in for a COVID test. The ladies administering it were super sweet, professional, and informative. They even called me up several days later to check up on my condition. Greatly appreciated the treatment here! Keep up the great work.

I get photos printed here as it’s the closest option. They almost always struggle to find my order, photos often come out low-quality. Staff is friendly and helpful, however.

Have been holding for over 14 minutes for pharmacy! They have no staff but yet still want our business, Have been a customer for years but am switching to somewhere that is staffed and customer service oriented. Now going on 18 minutes. Really really bad service but CVS doesn’t care.

If they don't agree with your Doctor, they will refuse to fill your prescription, then come up with some reason they can't fill it. If you are a terminal cancer patient on pain management take your business elsewhere.
