Absolutely a wonderful place for a pet emergency. Drove 45 minutes on a Saturday for an emergency with my dog. They wasted no time in starting treatment. He was taken care of very quickly and thanks to the great care this staff provided, we were able to take him home the same day. He is on the road to recovery. I would absolutely recommend this facility for any pet emergency! They are very kind and caring. Truly angels.

I would give zero stars if it were an option. I took my dog in due to trembling, inability to walk, severe pain. My dog was given a drug test and I was told "he is just high, he ingested something and will be back to normal in 24 hours." He was given a balloon of fluids in his back to try and help keep him hydrated and flush his system. I barely have Tylenol in my home, but did tell them I gave him a pain pill before coming from another vet visit I had left over. They insisted on a drug test anyway and said it would not show up on the results. They gave zero care or concern to my dog, all they were concerned about was the dollar signs the visit was bringing to the office. I took him to another vet where it was confirmed that he had a slipped disc in his back. A common issue known to the breed, but this office literally chalked it up to "oh. He is high" and laughed it off. I gave them benefit of the doubt despite their poor reviews, several hundred dollars I wish I had spent on a more reputable vet. And getting them to answer the phone or any questions after leaving... out of the question. Save your heartache, time and money, and wait to see your regular vet!

My dog was extremely sick when I got home one day. It was after our normal vet operation hour. They were able to take him in and noticed he had fever and rapid breathing. The staff and vet initiated IV and took good care of him over night. He was able to recover and get transferred for follow up care with his normal vet. Thank you for what you did for him.

We had an emergency with our snake, they did not have a reptile vet on duty but definitely found one to help them out in our situation. They were very helpful, friendly, and passionate. I would highly recommend for emergency. The cost was reasonable for the care provided. Service was fast as well.

I would give zero stars if I could. I took my boxer in here. He was throwing up what looked like poop and had diarrhea. He was not acting himself at all. Since he was barking, he was scared. They told us they couldn't see him. He wasn't an emergency. Thank goodness I could get a hold of a vet into. They came in did pictures of his stomach. My dude has ate something he shouldn't have it was stuck in intense. He doing good now!

I couldn't be happier with how this clinic handled a very stressful and precious situation for us this past Sunday. We now have 6 very healthy, live pups and a very healthy mother who has recovered perfectly.. the facility was impeccably clean and all of the staff were wonderful to work with, even with the work load they had at the time. We are so thankful to have a clinic like this in the area.

I received prompt courtesy service with my fur baby. Had to take my dog here when she ran into a barbwire fence, cuts were superficial and vet gave us a good bill of health. They also clipped her nails on the house. Thank you so much for calming this fur babies mom and taking such good care of my pup

Our miniature Dachshund suffered a dog bite from another dog and needed some sutures. This emergency vet clinic performed the procedure on 11/23/23 and I paid $476.34. Approximately 10 days later, we realized that the wound was not healing properly and looked infected, despite following all discharge instructions. I called and they said they could look at him. My wife drove 40 miles to Springfield and they wanted another $98 for an exam fee (to look at their own work)! We refused to pay it. A couple days later, when our personal vet office was open, we took him in. Sure enough----it was infected and the wound was not healing. Our vet charged nothing for the exam and a total of $142.50 for sedation, removal of emergency vet's sutures, cleaning of wound and suturing again. He healed just fine in a few days.I don't know what went wrong, but something wasn't done properly. Most appalling is that they wouldn't examine their own incompetent work (without additional fees). I've never known of any type of physician that didn't offer a complimentary follow-up on their own work when things were not healing well. Lastly, our personal vet clinic was able to successfully treat the dog for $142.50,but the emergency vet was unable to provide successful treatment after paying them nearly $500.The substandard medical care and lack of business ethics will prevent me from ever using their services again. Other people in need should seek out alternative options for emergency care. After repeated messages to management about this matter, no one has returned calls. Sickening!

We had to take a dog in this morning. While the news we received was devastating, we got excellent care while at the clinic. They got us in quickly, were knowledgeable and kind, and took care of what our dog needed until we could see our regular vet. I didn't feel the cost was out of line for the diagnostic tests that were done. We are lucky to have good 24 hour vet care in the Springfield area.

DO NOT bring your BELOVED pets here!! The receptionist (older blonde woman with badly drawn-in eyebrows) has no education and no medical license, yet seems to think she is qualified to make important medical recommendations for you. Obviously, she is not. This facility pushes euthanasia as a FINANCIAL decision rather than a MEDICAL decision. At the very least, the receptionist should be fired so that she can find a more appropriate line of work. At most, the place should just be SHUT-DOWN COMPLETELY given the total incompetence that appears to be present at every level. Does not deserve one-star, but negative numbers were not given as an option.

If you have life or death emergencies with your pet. DON’T BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE!!! Right away they push for euthanasia before even seeing your pet! I don’t trust that they even did anything for my dog. I used to be a vet tech and owned a pet sitting and dog walking business I’ve dealt with lots of animal lovers and they are not it! Maybe not all the people that work there but they definitely are more into taking your money and putting your pet down than actually saving them. They gave me an estimate of how much 2 nights would be which was $1000. They made me pay in full before doing anything (but I heard them tell multiple people it would only be a deposit of $400) and said they’d refund me for what they didn’t use. My dog stayed only 1 night and I ended up having to pay an extra $84. These people are not good! For your animals sake don’t bring them here if you actually want to save them. My dog had a similar issue before and right away my normal vet drained fluid build up and put my dog in oxygen chamber. Dr. O’Meara didn’t do any of that and just let her get worse then put her in oxygen and when I said well are you going to drain the fluids now she said well now we’re completely unable to…because by then it was too detrimental to her ? Also when I came today I wasn’t sure if we would have her come home or put her to sleep because they said she had gotten worse overnight. I came and they had me go back to their cage in back because they said her breathing was so bad she might die walking from the oxygen cage to the room. Well that was almost 8 hrs ago that’s she’s been out of the oxygen cage. They also said they didn’t recommend taking her home because she’d probably pass in the car on the way home. But honestly I was not about to let my baby die there. We took her home and have looked into a vet that comes to the home so our baby is with all the people she loves on her couch with all her favorite things for her passing. After speaking to the in-home vet she said she definitely would have tapped the chest to drain off any fluid possible if she knew a patient would take their pet home so that they were more comfortable. This “emergency” vet didn’t do anything for my baby and she probably only got worse because I brought her here. This vet just wanted me to euthanize my baby and be done with it, these people disgust me.

First off, I just want to start by saying thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of the staff at Bradford Park and Emergency Veterinary Clinic of SW Missouri who cared for Meep! You all were wonderful and treated my little guy great! I have nothing negative to say.Back in November on Thanksgiving of 2023 I had to rush him to the emergency vet in Mountain Grove (not this clinic) for a blocked urethra. I had noticed he was off that morning, but nothing too extreme. By the time I had returned home that evening he was super sick. All the clinic in Mtn. Grove did for him was sedate him, throw in a urinary catheter, cleaned his ears, and sent him home with me. No meds, no lab tests, fluids, or anything. The whole process took about 30-40 mins and we were sent on our way home. He ended up deaf, and with a major UTI and wouldn’t eat or drink for a week. He could barely even walk without losing his balance and falling over. They didn’t give us any information or tell us anything we needed to know besides the questions that I asked myself. I took him to my regular vet for a follow up who quickly got him to feeling better.Fast forward to January 2nd, I got ready for work and noticed the same signs and symptoms. I quickly called in to work and called my vet who could not get him in. Bradford Park was quick to get him in, and immediately started treatment and running lab work. We had Dr. Rowland and she was wonderful! She called me and kept me updated on everything that was going on and the treatment plans. Due to not having staff in the clinic at night they had me transfer him back and forth to EVC during the night so he was able to be cared for and watched around the clock. I loved this because I knew my baby wasn’t scared and alone and if something happened there would be someone right there the whole time, but it also gave me the opportunity to spend some time with him. At EVC we had Dr. Archuleta who was also amazing! The staff reassured me that they would call me if anything changed, and made sure I knew I could call at any time and check on him and it wouldn’t be a bother to them. Not only did Dr. Rowland get a catheter in, but they also treated him and gave him antibiotics, anti inflammatories, pain medication, fluids, and lots of love during his stay and helped nurse him back to health. EVC was great with working with Bradford Park and continuing the treatment plan. They made sure that he was fully well and ready to go home before releasing him to me.It’s January 5th and he got released and we are back at home. He is back to his silly little self, running around and playing with his toys, scratching his post, exploring, eating and drinking, and doing all of the things he loves. They made sure to go over all of the education, medications, and everything that we would need to know. Nothing like his first experience with this disease.I can’t express how happy I am with the care that we received at both Bradford Park Veterinary Clinic and the Emergency Veterinary Clinic of SW Missouri. The staff was magnificent, from the receptionists and techs to the veterinarians. I highly recommend bringing your loved ones here. :)

They helped us through a very intense emergency situation with our dog, unfortunately he did not make it but they were very thoughtful and caring throughout the whole process and they did what they could to save him while keeping us informed of all of our options along the way. I am grateful for what they did to try and save our baby's life. They deal with sad, unfortunate situations every day and they handled it with professionalism while still being thoughtful of the owners feelings.
