I am going to get my second oil change today. I don't think I'll get my oil changed anywhere else as long as i live around here. They not only have super reasonable prices and great service but they understand life happens and will work with you for appointments

Charged me $100.00 to pull my car into the garage and give me a $900.00 quote to replace the charge ports in my console. After I was told by Eric there would be no charge for them to look at it so I don’t trust a lier anywhere for any reason. Won’t get my business and will pass along the info. Thanks Eric but no thanks. If you lie about the charge I’m sure you are stolen valor as well shame on you. Your mechanic got in my vehicle drove it into the garage got out and decided it would be difficult to pull the console with my things in the vehicle and I agree with that but the console didn’t need to be pulled for a more extensive examination. As far as an extensive examination there was none. All I ask was for the charge ports to be changed, you were the one that wanted to go further. You held my vehicle in your garage while other vehicles were being worked on. The last mechanic that changed two oil gaskets for$900.00 loosened the cross member on my frame nearly causing severe motor damage. I didn’t expect every shop I visit to be dishonest but that’s me being a naive, elderly, handicapped, homeless, woman. My father and four brothers didn’t fight for this country so people like you could abuse its freedoms either. You didn’t lose my business you ripped me off $100.00 and I seen you coming so you won’t get another red cent from me.

I’ve been having car trouble for months now. I have taken my car to two other repair shops and each time it never got fixed. After taking my car to James automotive, my car has been working amazingly. They were kind, understanding, and the kind of people I want to do business with. I 100% recommend James automotive! They had a fair price and I never felt like I was being cheated.

James Automotive is such an amazing place! When you go in for auto repair (especially as a woman) you have to worry about people being dishonest, or taking advantage, NOT HERE, they are honest, kind, and helpful! They warranty their work, and try and find the most cost saving solution first! They don't start out with the most expensive solution and work their way down from there! They are truly GOOD HUMAN BEINGS! This kind of compassion and honesty is severely lacking in this modern day world! I was recommended to James by my closest friend, and I would recommend them to ANYONE looking for a new auto shop. If they cannot help you, they can give you a referral to another honest shop that can help you! I will not be going anywhere other than James Automotive for all of my future auto maintenance and repair!

We had a great experience with James Automotive. Traveling long distance, our Nissan alternator failed and we were fortunate that James was able to get us in for a same day fix using parts available locally. In contrast, we had an early a.m. appointment with Springfield Nissan but then after towing the car there they said they wouldn't see it till the next day and the part would take 6 days to get. A waste of time to go to the Nissan dealer, but fortunately James Automotive was able to get us on our way quickly.

I would like to beg the residence of Springfield, Missouri and surrounding areas not to go to this mechanic. I was ripped off for thousands of dollars to have them diagnose a problem that they couldn’t even fix. Little to no recourse thought about legal action, but not worth my time.

Great experience there. Had my check engine light come on after a spark misfire and they checked it out, moved the plugs around, and fixed it in an hour without charging me anything.
