They changed their checkout area. You have to go all the way to the back corner on the first floor. For a handicap person as I am, what i was interested in was at the front of the store by the entrance. To try something on, you have to go halfway back in the store to try on. Then you have to go all the way to the back of the store to check out and to stand and wait in a big line. Got turned around in store and asked the cashiers(there were 3) how to get back to the front entrance. Not one knew how to go back to the front entrance of the store. Not user-friendly or customer service friendly. (To think I drove over 100 miles to go here. I'm so disappointed.

Why is a multimillion dollar company so stingy it won’t turn the ac on when a mom and pops store that makes a fraction of what JC Penny does will? I was in there today and almost passed out due to the temp of the Store and I’m fighting an asthma attack now thanks to the heat inside this place. I can only imagine what the workers deal with. TURN the dang AC ON. Won’t be back during this SUMMER

Love JCPenney. They have great sales. They have a wonderful range in sizes and merchandise. The quality is great and if something does go wrong, they do easy returns. I love the Ana clothing line - it holds up to the test of time and the clothes are super comfortable.
This site does not have enough handicap parking spots. They try really hard to keep the bathrooms clean, but there is usually a mess. There is never enough staff and always long lines to check out. The staff are pleasant, but I've never found an employee available to help who was not checking people out. Only one register is open. One.

Tried shopping there today but the temperature inside the store was unbearable. Everyone in the store made note about the temperature including the employees. I was told the outside temp has to be a certain temperature before they can turn on the AC. Today was upper 70’s low 80’s and very humid. I choose to shop elsewhere where they choose to keep the temperature at a comfortable level.

Well worth my time and money. I had a staff member, Roberta, who took me around to show me the dresses that I described to her. I would have never found all I did on my own. I bought seven dresses.

It’s Memorial Day weekend and it’s 100° in the store. I couldn’t bare shopping because of this. How is this not hazardous for the employees???

The store had no air conditioning so all the employees were grumpy. In addition, nobody that worked there seemed to know what was going on with the air conditioning beyond that it did not work.

Was a little jumbled. Had to look in two different places to find women swimsuits.

Men's clothing was Waaaay too expensive, and quite frankly, the store is tired. The escalators were broken, the elevator isn't anything close to convenient, and it was like 80° upstairs. Even the clearance pricing is ridiculous. Wanna kill the mall? This is the way you do it. Let the anchor stores die a slow painful death. My most recent visit will likely be my last. As a proud member of genx, it struck me as very sad.

I have shopped at JCP for many years. The A/C is out at this store and has been for weeks. I do not know how the employees can tolerate these conditions, let alone the customers. JCP, your prices are out the roof so you should be able to do better!

So sad. The mall is but a shadow of its former glory. JCPenney's is a bit of a wreck. Not as bad as the last time I went there though. Think about a year ago. Just saw two guys working in Men's. One at the register and one at the fitting room. Not enough people to keep it organized. Prices certainly have jumped up.
